Media Office of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine in Lebanon 12-05-2023
A representative of the Political Bureau of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine – Marwan Abdel-Al – received (in the presence of PFLP Officials ‘Haitham Abdo’, ‘Abdullah Al-Danan, ‘Abu Nasim’ and ‘Abu Jalal’) – a Delegation from the ‘Kuwaiti Progressive Movement’ which comprised ‘Ahmed Al-Din’ (Political Bureau), and the Chairman of the Kuwaiti Committee for Peace and Solidarity – ‘Nasser Thalab’ – on Friday, May 12th, 2023, at the PFPL Office in Beirut.
During the meeting – the Delegation stressed the importance of the Palestinian issue for the Kuwaiti people and the centrality of this issue – referring to their position rejecting normalization and their support for the Resistance! Referring to interaction with the Palestinian issue in various forms – through the issuing of statements and the holding of seminars. Also discussed was the important role the PFPL plays in this Resistance!
In turn, Abdel-Al welcomed the Delegation, as he noted the importance of the forces of the Arab National Liberation Movement as a Revolutionary movement in the face of dependence and normalization – and in support of Palestine and its cause – noting that it is full of people who are Fighters and Revolutionaries who support the Palestinian cause, (including the people of Kuwait), and how these facts indicate a strong awareness of this issue. While defending the Palestinian identity, we are defending the idea, because the Zionist project is a colonial tool that threatens our peoples and the entire region!
Abdel-Al also blessed the Kuwaiti Progressive Movement for the success of its Conference – pointing out that the PFPL passed achieved merit despite all the difficult surrounding circumstances. He also stressed the importance of continuing the developing of building the relationship between the two Parties.
He also explained the difficult conditions experienced by Palestinian refugees in Lebanon. In conclusion, the Delegation of the PFPL presented the shield of Palestine to the visiting delegation

الجبهة الشعبية استقبلت وفدًا من الحركة التقدمية الكويتية

استقبل عضو المكتب السياسي للجبهة الشعبية لتحرير فلسطين مروان عبد العال، بحضور مسؤول الجبهة في لبنان هيثم عبده، ومسؤول العلاقات السياسية للجبهة عبد الله الدنان، وعضوي الدائرة العربية والقومية أبو نسيم وأبو جلال، وفدًا من الحركة التقدمية الكويتية، ضم عضو المكتب السياسي أحمد الديين، والرئيس في اللجنة الكويتية للسلم والتضامن ناصر ثلاب، وذلك يوم الجمعة في 12أيار 2023، في مكتب الجبهة ببيروت.
خلال اللقاء، أكد الوفد أهمية القضية الفلسطينية بالنسبة للشعب الكويتي، وبمركزية هذه القضية، مشيرًا إلى موقفهم الرافض للتطبيع، ودعمهم للمقاومة، مشيرًا إلى التفاعل مع القضية الفلسطينية بأشكال متعددة، من خلال إصدار بيانات، وندوات.كما أكد مكانة ودور الجبهة الشعبية، وما تحظى به من مكانة لدى الحركة.
بدوره، رحب عبد العال بالوفد، حيث نوه بأهمية قوى حركة التحرير الوطني العربية كحركة ثورية في مواجهة التبعية والتطبيع، و نصرة لفلسطين وقضيتها، مشيرًا إلى أنها تزخر بأناس مناضلين وثوريين داعمين للقضية الفلسطينية، ومن بينها شعب الكويت، وهذا ينم عن وعي شديد لهذه القضية، ونحن إذ ندافع عن هويتنا فنحن ندافع عن الفكرة، فالمشروع الصهيوني هو Hداة استعمارية يهدد شعوبنا وعموم المنطقة.
كما بارك عبد العال للحركة التقدمية الكويتية نجاح مؤتمرها، مشيرا إلى أن الجبهة مرت بهذا الاستحقاق على الرغم من كل الظروف الصعبة المحيطة. مؤكدًا أهمية تطوير العلاقة بين الطرفين.
كما شرح الظروف الصعبة التي يعيشها اللاجئون الفلسطينيون في لبنان.
