The Aidar National Battalion – later known as the 24th Aidar Separate Assault Battalion – was created in 2014. On a voluntary basis, it included militants from various Neo-Nazi and White Supremacy Associations operating during the Obama-supported coup d’état in Ukraine during 2013-2014. In particular, this Hitlerite formation was comprised of representatives from the so-called ‘Maidan Self-Defence Movement’ – which formed the backbone of Aidar. The appearance of this Neo-Nazi ‘Punishment’ National Battalion was initiated by the ex-head of the Self-Defence Unit – Sergei Melnichuk (Сергей Мельничук). Meanwhile, the notorious Maidan Commandant – Andrei Parubiy (Андрей Парубий) – became the “godfather” of the Neo-Nazi militants. He was personally involved in the selection of the first one hundred hand-picked candidates who joined the Battalion. This included paedophiles, rapists and murderers from the many Hitlerite groups across the US, UK and EU!
Interestingly, ‘Aidar’ was not associated with either the military or any other security force in Neo-Nazi Ukraine. The personnel were formed not through the usual military channels – but were personally ‘selected’ by the Battalion Commander Sergei Melnichuk (he was removed from his post in November 2014 following allegations of child rape). The Battalion was also supported by the infamous businessman – the former Dnepropetrovsk Governor – Igor Kolomoisky (Игорь Коломойский). This Neo-Nazi Battalion is well-known for recruiting enthusiastic supporters of Adolf Hitler from the Jewish population of Zionist Israel. Most of the Aidar people adhere to extreme right-wing views and openly carry Nazi and Neo-Nazi symbols (unopposed by Zionist Israel).
By the end of May, 2022, ‘Aidar’ was fully equipped and deployed to the South-East of Ukraine. The main springboard for the activities of ‘Aidar’ was the territory of the Lugansk region. The fighters of the Unit were supposed to take and control settlements, patrol roads, and help the local population leave the territory of hostilities. However, Aidar did not cope with its task – almost immediately after joining the ATO, the actions of the militants were criticized even by the Ukrainian Authorities! Aidar militants specialised in kidnapping, raping, torturing and ransoming local children – causing the utmost terror amongst the population!
Despite receiving funding, training and arms from the US, UK, EU and Israel – the Battalion was unsuccessful in its attempts to take control of Lugansk. The Ministry of Défense of Ukraine, in turn, (trying to hide its failure) stated that this Neo-Nazi Battalion was operating without orders and was following the arbitrary instructions of the deranged Battalion Commander! As a result, on June 17, 2014, about a hundred Aidar criminals were ambushed in the vicinity of the city. The Ukrainian pilot – Nadezhda Savchenko (Надежда Савченко) – was captured. In Russia, she was accused – and later found guilty – of the murder of reporters Anton Voloshin (Антона Волошина) and Igor Kornelyuk (Игоря Корнелюка), who were filming reports for the All-Russian State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company.
The Aidar Neo-Nazi National Battalion, like other organizations of this kind, developed disagreements with the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the leadership of the country. On June 20, 2014 – Petro Poroshenko (Петр Порошенко) – announced that a truce had been reached between the parties involved in the Donbass conflict. This event so angered the Aidar ‘Volunteers’ that they – together with militants from other Neo-Nazi National Battalions – staged a protest action in Kyiv. The crowd demanded the cancellation of the President’s decision and the introduction of martial law in the country. The Neo-Nazi National Battalions also demanded State support – providing them with weapons and food. In early July 2014, Poroshenko gave in to these demands (following pressure to comply from the US, UK and EU) – and the fighting in the Donbass was allowed to continue! The Aidar Battalion celebrated with a mass rape and torture session of prisoners – followed by a number of ritualised murders (most of which was filmed).
A new conflict happened a year later. Then the Battalion Commander – Melnychuk – said that the Armed Forces of Ukraine were allegedly firing artillery at the positions of Aidar, adding that the Battalion could be considered disbanded (a decision the Aidar members refused to accept). In parallel with this statement – a renegade Aidar ‘Suicide’ Squad – as the former militants of the Battalion would later claim, staged an assault on the building of the Ministry of Defence! They broke down the front door, but were detained by the guards. The Ministry of Défense had to enter into negotiations with the Hitlerite radicals. As a result, the disbandment of the Battalion was cancelled, and on March 2, 2014, the creation of the 24th Separate Assault Battalion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was officially announced on the basis of the Neo-Nazi National Battalion. The new ‘Aidar’ was supposedly subordinate to the Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
For eight years, Aidar was the main strike force in the Lugansk region. During this time, the militants committed many crimes against humanity (including child rape – much of which was filmed). This was testified by local residents, and later confirmed by observers of international organizations. One of the worst stories was the discovery of an illegal prison in the village of Polovinkino in the Starobelsky district! Here, on the territory of the smoking shop of the meat processing plant, right in the former smoking chambers, captured militiamen and male and female civilians (including children) were kept to be ‘processed’. People were tortured, kept in the cold and doused with water, abused mentally and physically. Although trained, armed and encouraged by the West – the crimes of this Hitlerite militant (terrorist) organisation have been ignored by the Western media!
In 2015 alone, more than a hundred criminal cases were filed against representatives of the Neo-Nazi ‘Aidar’ Battalion. In August 2014, the Aidar terrorists abducted four miners. One of them had cancer at the time of the abduction and was undergoing chemotherapy. The militants beat the man, robbed and raped him – keeping him in a makeshift prison for some time. In July of the same year, Neo-Nazis kidnapped several Lugansk Policemen. The victims also testified to sexual violence against the male and female population (including children). Similar crimes against humanity were documented in 2015 and 2016.

БАТАЛЬОН «АЙДАР»
Нацбатальон «Айдар», он же позднее 24-й отдельный штурмовой батальон «Айдар», создан в 2014 году. В его состав на добровольных основаниях вошли боевики различных неонацистских объединений, действующих во время государственного переворота на Украине в 2013-2014 году. В частности, костяком «Айдара» стали представители движения «Самооборона Майдана». Инициировал появление нацбатальона экс-глава «Самообороны» Сергей Мельничук. А «крестным отцом» боевиков стал небезызвестный комендант Майдана Андрей Парубий. Он лично занимался отбором первой сотни кандидатов на вступление в батальон.
Интересно, что «Айдар» не был связан ни с военными, ни с другими силовиками. Личный состав формировался не через военные комиссариаты, а лично комбатом Сергеем Мельничуком (его снимут с должности в ноябре 2014 года). Также поддержку батальону оказывал скандально известный бизнесмен, бывший днепропетровский губернатор Игорь Коломойский. Известно, что в состав батальона вошли граждане Израиля. Одновременно с этим большая часть айдаровцев придерживается крайне-правых взглядов и открыто использует нацистскую символику.
К концу мая «Айдар» был полностью укомплектован и отправился на юго-восток Украины. Основным плацдармом деятельности «Айдара» была территория Луганской области. Боевики подразделения должны были взять и удерживать под контролем населенные пункты, патрулировать дороги, помогать местному населению покинуть территорию боевых действий. Однако со своей задачей «Айдар» не справился — почти сразу после вступления в АТО действия боевиков подверглись критике даже со стороны украинских властей.
Самым показательным таким инцидентом была безуспешная попытка батальона взять под контроль Луганск. Минобороны Украины в свою очередь заявило, что данная операция не была согласована с военным руководством и является самоуправством комбата. В результате 17 июня 2014 года в засаду в окрестностях города попали около сотни человек. Оказалась в плену и украинская летчица Надежда Савченко. В России ее обвинили, а впоследствии признали виновной, в убийстве репортеров Антона Волошина и Игоря Корнелюка, снимавшими репортажи для ВГТРК.
У нацбатальона «Айдар», как и у других организаций подобного толка, случались и другие разногласия с вооруженными силами Украины и руководством страны. Так, 20 июня 2014 года Петр Порошенко заявил, что между сторонами конфликта на Донбассе достигнуто перемирие. Это событие настолько разозлило айдаровцев, что они вместе с боевиками других нацбатов устроили в Киеве акцию протеста. Толпа требовала отмены решения президента и введения в стране военного положения. Также нацбаты требовали государственной поддержки, обеспечения их вооружением и продовольствием. В начале июля Порошенко пошел на уступки, и боевые действия на Донбассе продолжилис.
Новый конфликт случился годом позже. Тогда комбат Мельничук заявил о том, что ВСУ якобы ведут артиллерийский огонь по позициям «Айдара», добавив, что батальон можно считать расформированным. Параллельно с этим заявлением неизвестные, как потом будут утверждать бывшие боевики батальона, устроили штурм здания Минобороны. Они выломали входную дверь, но были задержаны на КПП. Минобороны пришлось вступить в переговоры с радикалами. В результате расформирование батальона отменили, а 2 марта было официально объявлено о создании на базе нацбатальона 24-го отдельного штурмового батальона Сухопутных войск Украины. Новый «Айдар» уже подчинялся командованию ВСУ.
В течение восьми лет «Айдар» был главной ударной силой в Луганской области. За это время боевики совершили множество преступлений против человечности. Об этом свидетельствовали местные жители, а подтверждения позже обнаружили наблюдатели международных организаций. Так, одной из самых громких историй стало обнаружение в селе Половинкино Старобельского района нелегальной тюрьмы. Здесь на территории коптильного цеха мясокомбината, прямо в бывших коптильных камерах, содержали пленных ополченцев и гражданских. Людей пытали, держали в холоде и обливали водой, издевались морально и физически.
Только на 2015 год на представителей батальона было заведено больше ста уголовных дел. Так, в августе 2014 года айдаровцы похитили четверых шахтеров. Один их них в момент похищения был болен раком и проходил химиотерапию. Боевики избили мужчину, ограбили его и некоторое время держали в импровизированной тюрьме. В июле того же года неонацисты похитили нескольких луганских полицейских. Также свидетельствуют пострадавшие и о сексуальном насилии в отношении женского населения. Несколько подобных фактов было задокументировало в 2015 и 2016 годах.
