On April 11th, 2023 – Comrade Thongsavanh Phomsang – Party Central Committee Member – Head of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Lao People’s Democratic Party, met (via remote video system) with Comrade Elimio Ratmir Losada Garcia, Head of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba.

On this occasion, Comrade Thongsavanh Phomsang expressed his great joy at having the opportunity to meet (via remote video) with Comrade Elimio Ratmir Losada Garcia and expressed his congratulations to the dear Comrade – who was appointed as the new Head of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba! The dear Comrade was informed about the outstanding situation in the country of Laos under the direction of the Laos Communist Party – especially the implementation of the Resolutions past during the 11th General Assembly of the Lao Communist Party!

The people of Laos also expressed recognition of the great achievements of the Cuban people under the resolute leadership of the Communist Party of Cuba over the past 60 years – especially those significant to the development of socio-economic construction! This is the continuation of the progressive results of the Revolution in the face of the unjust economic, commercial and financial blockade which the Americans have inflicted over the past six decades!

Appreciating the long-standing unity, friendship and cooperation between the two Communist Parties – the two Socialist States and the ordinary people of the two Lao-Cuban nations – as well as the two Foreign Relations Committees of the Central Party which have been enhanced! Let our two Socialist peoples become ever stronger day-by-day, and contribute significantly to the Revolutionary mission in the two countries of Laos and Cuba! Together, we can complete this mission of peace, friendship and cooperation for regional and international development!
