This is due, in-part, to decades of UK support for Israel and its ongoing genocidal policy – whilst the British masses feels this is wrong. The right-wing is not the answer – but this is where we are. The bourgeoisie will not listen. It has generated this political situation by manipulating the press and the masses in voting to keep far-left parties out of power. Right-wing New Labour does not want to put any sanctions on its chum Israel – it has only done this – because it does not want to lose the next General Election (this will be historically embarrassing considering the majority it possesses). Meanwhile, “Palestinian Action” still remains proscribed and its leading lights rotting in prison. Do not be fooled. I believe this all political theatre. Nothing substantive will happen to the Zionist Project in Gaza. What will sink New Labour are the endless French boats landing on the east coast full of guests from other parts of the world. Even Local Councils are now refusing to land these boats – saying all the hotels are currently full! It is this anti–worker policy that will sink Burnham’s New Labour.

This Wednesday morning, while Díaz-Canel toured the “Víbora” Popular Council in the capital’s municipality of Diez de Octubre, where there is more than one institution vital to human dignity, a truth remained standing while new cribs, tables, chairs, toys or backpacks could be seen: Cuba in Revolution does not abandon a single one of its children.

China: US Urged to End Blockade of Cuba! (7.7.2026)

Mao made the remarks at a new briefing when asked to comment on the speeches of Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel, who warned that the U.S. blockade of Cuba has reached a “critical level” and constitutes a genocide threat, and he has called for a special session of the UN General Assembly on July 7 to address the issue.

The spokesperson noted that the comprehensive blockade and illegal sanctions imposed by the U.S. on Cuba for over 60 years are disastrous for the Cuban people.

Recently, the U.S. has further escalated these blockade and sanctions measures, which have severely undermined the basic livelihoods of the Cuban people and drawn great concern from the international community, Mao said.

China firmly supports Cuba in safeguarding its national sovereignty and opposes external interference and stands ready to work with the international community to uphold international fairness and justice, the spokesperson concluded.

We continue to urge the Government of Israel to take action to ensure meaningful accountability for violence in the West Bank. The Government of Israel should ensure every attack is swiftly and thoroughly investigated, take action against the outposts and organizations that allow violence to flourish, and stop the incitement of violence. We believe that peace and security for both Israelis and Palestinians can only be achieved through the implementation of the two-state solution. Together, we will continue to work towards this goal.

The spokesperson made the remarks in response to the U.S. move to ramp up sanctions against Cuba. Cuba has said that the U.S.’s illegal and unilateral coercive measures are reprehensible and ridiculous.

The spokesperson said that the U.S. intensification of illicit and unilateral sanctions against Cuba gravely infringes on the Cuban people’s right to subsistence and development and violates the basic norms in international relations.
