This ongoing development has included strategic measures to expand and strengthen the country’s self defensive war deterrence in every way! This implementation has been required as a measured response to the ever growing militaristic manoeuvres of the US imperialists and their South Korean Puppet rebels – as they strive to provoke a war of aggression!
The 6th Enlarged Meeting of the 8th Central Military Commission was held on April 10th (112-2023) at the Headquarters of the Party Central Committee!
Dear Comrade Kim Jong Un – General Secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea – Chairman of the Central Military Commission of the Workers’ Party of Korea and Chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, expertly guided the 6th Enlarged Meeting of the 8th Central Military Commission of the Workers’ Party of Korea!
The meeting was attended by key Members of the Central Military Commission of the Workers’ Party of Korea and Commanders of the Front-Line Combined Units of the Korean People’s Army.
At the 6th Enlarged Meeting of the 8th Central Military Commission of the Workers’ Party of Korea, the seriousness of the current security situation on the Korean Peninsula – invoving the US imperialists and their South Korean Puppet rebels – is emerging as a threatening entity! This reality was clearly assessed and understood by the country’s leaders – who discussed important military issues regarding the further perfecting of our self defense capability and our People’s preparations for war!
Recently, the untoward enemy, which has openly stated belligerent remarks such as “Occupying Pyongyang” and “Operation Beheading,” – has frantically conducted large-scale joint military exercises simulating an all-out war with the DPRK! This has been a reckless and ineffectual exercise in anti-DPRK confrontation and aggression! They deliberately promoted warmongering acts of illegal violence and racially motivated destruction!
At the meeting, there was an in-depth analysis of the current situation in which the preparations for a war of aggression by the US imperialists (and their South Korean Puppet fighters) are getting more and more prevalent day by day! Therefore, it was an essential necessity to make our military deterrent very clear – to demonstrate that we are strictly prepared to implement strong practical actions! This preparation included a discussion of relevant issues and organizational measures required to prepare and initiate various (military) action plans that are so devastating that the enemy cannot respond to by any means or method! In accordance with this policy – important decisions were passed unanimously.
Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un emphasized the need to be more pragmatic to offensively expand our theatres of operation as a primary element of our war deterrence – which is being strengthened at an accelerated rate – as a measure to more strictly control and manage the security situation throughout the Korean Peninsula. This is required – as the risk from the US-controlled enemies is becoming ever increasingly serious – day-by-day.
Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un clarified the principle issues regarding the ceaseless analysis and correct implementation of all military measures to constantly renew (and perfect) the war capability of our People’s Army! This requires understanding the Operational Plan for frontline offensives and the ongoing study of the various documents regarding effective combat measures!
The military measures (dialectically) discussed at the 6th Enlarged Meeting of the 8th Central Military Commission of the Workers’ Party of Korea further clarified the stand of our Party and the Government of the People’s Republic as responding to the enemy’s moves to provoke war! This preparation has been achieved through strengthening the Armed Forces! This has been achieved by increasing the solid self-defensive capabilities (and the ability to generate overwhelming offensive power) of the Korean People’s Armed Forces!

조선로동당 총비서이시며 조선로동당 중앙군사위원회 위원장이시며 조선민주주의인민공화국 국무위원장이신 경애하는 김정은동지께서 조선로동당 중앙군사위원회 제8기 제6차확대회의를 지도하시였다.
회의에는 조선로동당 중앙군사위원회 주요성원들과 조선인민군 전선대련합부대의 지휘관들이 참가하였다.
조선로동당 중앙군사위원회 제8기 제6차확대회의에서는 미제와 남조선괴뢰역도들의 침략적인 군사정책과 행위들이 위협적인 실체로 부상하고있는 현 조선반도안전상황의 엄중함을 명백히 인식하고 그에 대처하여 나라의 방위력과 전쟁준비를 더욱 완비하는데서 나서는 중요한 군사적문제들을 토의하였다.
최근 들어 《평양점령》과 《참수작전》이라는 호전적인 망언들까지 로골적으로 흘리며 우리 공화국과의 전면전쟁을 가상한 대규모합동군사연습을 광란적으로 감행한 적들은 련일 반공화국대결망발과 공격성군사행위들을 의도적으로 고취하며 자기들의 불순한 침략적정체를 행동으로 명백히 보여주었다.
회의에서는 미제와 남조선괴뢰역도들의 침략전쟁준비책동이 날로 우심해지고있는 현정세를 심도있게 분석한데 기초하여 우리의 군사적선택을 더욱 명백히 하고 강력한 실천행동으로 이행할수 있는 철저한 준비를 엄격히 갖추는것을 필수적인 요구로 제기하였으며 적들이 그 어떤 수단과 방식으로도 대응이 불가능한 다양한 군사적행동방안들을 마련하기 위한 실무적문제와 기구편제적인 대책들을 토의하고 해당 결정들을 전원일치로 가결하였다.
경애하는 김정은동지께서는 날로 엄중해지고있는 조선반도안전상황을 더욱 엄격히 통제관리하기 위한 대책으로서 가속적으로 강화되고있는 우리의 전쟁억제력을 더욱 실용적으로,공세적으로 확대하고 효과적으로 운용해야 할 필요성에 대하여 강조하시였다.
