Blogger’s Note: At last, the UK relocates itself back onto the right-side of history. During WWII the UK stood alone between 1939-1941 whilst the rest of the world stood back and watched us suffer whilst we stood-up to the forces of International Fascism and Nazism! We do not care that the rest of the world abandoned us at that time – we British Celts are made of sterner stuff. Then a miracle happened – the USSR joined the anti-fascist struggle in mid-1941. By the time the US reluctantly joined the struggle (in late 1941) – the Soviets had already lost over a million men, women, and children (killed and wounded) – and that number would raise to 41 million by 1945 (27 million killed – 16 million wounded)! As for the UK, we suffered approximately 380,000-450,000 military deaths and roughly 277,000 or more wounded during WWII. During the Nazi blanket-bombing of UK cities (1939-1945) – the British lost 60,500 people (killed) with 130,000 (wounded). Remarkably, during the “Blitz” Nazi German bombing campaign (between September-May 1940) – the UK lost a staggering 30,000-40,000 – with my mother’s family being bombed-out of their native Lewisham. Like millions of other British, my family had to live through the Nazi horror – and joined the British military to fight-back. This was for our own survival – and the survival of the other victims of Italian fascism, German Nazism, and Japanese Imperialism. Ironically, although not the primary reason, this resistance also included the idea that the anti-Jewish policy employed by the Nazi Germans was wrong. The UK had granted asylum to fleeing Jews from Germany and Occupied Europe. Today, the UK proudly opposes the disastrous and destructive ideology of “Zionism” – an ideology the UN ruled by resolution (in 1975) – to be a Jewish form of “White Supremacy”. This is the founding (racist) ideology of the State of Israel (which the imperialist British helped to create) – and which Albert Einstein rejected. Einstein refused to be the leader of Israel when it was offered – on the grounds that Zionism was racist, and that he could not support an ideology that mirrored that of the Nazi Germans – aimed at the eradication of the Palestinian (non-Jewish) population. This is the position, by the way, of millions of Jews throughout the world, so do not make the mistake of thinking “Israel=Judaism” – as it does not. Currently, the UN has ruled (through the ICC and ICJ) that Israel is committing “Genocide” in Gaza and elsewhere. Israel is doing this, in-part, because it usually receives financing, political support, and military hardware from the US, UK, and EU (whilst the UK rolls-out relatively mild sanctions on Settlers – the Israeli arms factories operating with police protection in the UK – continue unaffected in their manufacturing). Russia maintains good relations with Israel (remaining mute) – as does China – with the latter mildly criticising Zionist outrages from time to time (but not enough to negatively effect trade – or profit growth). The UK Establishment is running scared of its own working-class population – which looks to be on the brink of voting-in a right-wing government. This is due, in-part, to decades of UK support for Israel and its ongoing genocidal policy – whilst the British masses feels this is wrong. The right-wing is not the answer – but this is where we are. The bourgeoisie will not listen. It has generated this political situation by manipulating the press and the masses in voting to keep far-left parties out of power. Right-wing New Labour does not want to put any sanctions on its chum Israel – it has only done this – because it does not want to lose the next General Election (this will be historically embarrassing considering the majority it possesses). Meanwhile, “Palestinian Action” still remains proscribed and its leading lights rotting in prison. Do not be fooled. I believe this all political theatre. Nothing substantive will happen to the Zionist Project in Gaza. What will sink New Labour are the endless French boats landing on the east coast full of guests from other parts of the world. Even Local Councils are now refusing to land these boats – saying all the hotels are currently full! It is this anti–worker policy that will sink Burnham’s New Labour. It is interesting that Israel controls the police of the Palestinian Authority – and that the UK trained a component of it. This explains the disgusting collaborative position of PA. Although Fateh was historically Marxist-Leninist – there is no way it can be considered this today. It now seems entirely Trotskyite. Knowing this, I only pick strategically relevant news stories from WAFA – which at other times are just pro-Israel. ACW (12.9.2026)
TEL AVIV, September 8, 2026 (WAFA) – Israel announced on Tuesday evening a series of measures against Britain over the set of economic sanctions imposed by London on Israeli colonies in the occupied West Bank.
The measures include closing the British Consulate in Jerusalem, removing British representatives from the US-backed International Gaza Support Centre in Kiryat Gat, the termination of British activities to train Palestinian Authority security forces (PASF) under the British Support Team in Ramallah, and barring 12 elected British figures from entering Israel purportedly for being “involved in antisemitic and anti-Israel activity,” without naming them.
Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar said the measures were taken with the knowledge of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in response to British steps concerning the colonies, which he described as interference in Israeli affairs and an attempt to influence the upcoming election campaign, without providing evidence to support these claims.
Sa’ar threatened to take similar measures against other countries “at the discretion” of the Israeli government, saying, “: whoever acts against Israel, Israel will act against them and they will lose their influence and relevance in this region.”
Sa’ar attacked the British government, accusing it of taking the measures for “domestic political reasons ahead of the Labour Party conference taking place this month,” calling the move a “blatant interference in the affairs of a sovereign state and in its election campaign.”
He described the ban on colony products and sanctions against individuals and entities involved in colonial settlement expansion as a “despicable practice,” portraying the British measures as part of a broader campaign against Israel.
Sa’ar placed the latest British measures within a series of steps he said the Labour government has taken against Israel since coming to power, including recognizing the State of Palestine, resuming funding for the United Nations Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), suspending some arms export licenses to Israel, imposing sanctions on Israeli Jewish supremacist ministers, individuals and entities, suspending negotiations on a free trade agreement, restricting official Israeli participation in the DSEI defense and security exhibition, and freezing military dialogue and security cooperation.
The Israeli measures come after 12 countries, including Britain, Canada and France, announced their intention to impose restrictions on trade in goods with Israeli colonies in the occupied West Bank, or support the imposition of such restrictions at the European Union level, amid escalating colonist attacks against Palestinians and mounting international pressure on Israel over its continued settlement expansion.
Earlier today, the foreign ministries of Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Iceland, Ireland, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden and the UK confirmed their intention to “introduce national and/or support European restrictions on trade in goods with settlements which are illegal under international law, or that they are actively considering these and other measures, in accordance with their national procedures.”
These developments come as the Israeli government continues to expand the settlement project in the occupied West Bank despite international calls to halt it, amid escalating attacks carried out by colonist militias against defenseless Palestinian civilians.
