My father – Peter Wyles – passed away on May 29th, 2026. As he got older he transitioned into a Wizard. There was no contrived reason for this – it just happened naturally. It is interesting to consider that there exists an entire genre of music “out there” – made primarily by young people – which is described as “ambient”, “trance”, and even “new age” – which designed to “up-lift” the mind-set of the individual from its immersion in the cesspit of physical and emotional feelings (compressed by the filth of predatory capitalism) – and psychologically ascend into that rarefied space that exist on the absolute edge of material reality. The feeling is buoyant and tends to imply that the individual is about to “jump-over” into a new reality. In this regard, this type of music (a material creation) uses sound to replicate the feeling associated with advanced (seated) meditation. Yes – it is all “matter” – but matter appears to have “frequencies attached to it – each completely different from the rest. I think I have referred to the ambient experience as being “trans-material” not because it is literally this – but rather because the individual “experiences” it as this. Virtually all the world’s religions have discovered this frequency of rarefied matter and mistakenly assumed that it is “beyond” matter – when it obviously is not (you still need to be inhabiting a living body to experience it – a fact which anchors the individual to the material plane). All religions are like this and it would do religionists the world of good to admit and acknowledge this fact.
Of course, things are rarely this straightforward. I remember when I was first told by a teacher in England that “matter” is “light-energy” – “slowed-down”. I was astonished that something as ethereal as light could become the physical stuff we are made of and which exists all around us. First, there was light, and then light slowed down in speed and congealed into the various stages that led to the physical universe we all inhabit. Sentient life, and indeed life in general, is believed to be a “special arrangement of matter” – but matter nonetheless. Consciousness (which might not be the exclusive human attribute it was once thought to be) is a development within this “special arrangement of matter”. Religious paths, particularly those which advocate “monasticism” and “meditation” – appear to be a human effort to consciously re-trace (backwards) this evolutionary process. Humanity has often set itself the task of using an intellectual mind unshackled from the demands of the physical world (in the socio-economic sense) – so that the mind might subjectively “penetrate” the reality of the “external” evolutionary process. To achieve this, an individual then has to retire to a quiet place and “look within”. This journey may take days, weeks, or years.
I think that if religions gave-up their ridiculous claims to exclusivity – then the method of “looking within” could become a legitimate part of understanding the material world (albeit “subjectively”) and take its place alongside “objective” science. As matters stand, religious development tends to be unregulated and more or less ad hoc in its ability to produce legitimately transcendent beings. Such a being would declare the path he followed to be obsolete as he emerges thoroughly enlightened from it. Today, religions make stupid claims of non-existent (exclusive) knowledge – and limit their practitioners to religious dogma. It is for this reason of general ignorance – and their siding with capitalism – that Marxist-Leninism has a bleak view of religions in general. If religions truly abandoned the physical world they inhabit – then capitalism would be left firmly behind. Greed cannot be encouraged at source when transcendence demands a complete break with all fetters that would bind the practitioner to the mundane (including greed). The truly transcendent amongst us quietly disentangle their minds from the tortures of the physical world and humbly “ascend”. They do not do it for fame, money, or recognition. Indeed, for us mere mortals, we will be lucky if we receive an emancipating wave from them!
