The Cuban Ambassador in Damascus received – at the Headquarters of the Cuban Embassy, (before noon on Tuesday), October 10th, 2023 – a Delegation from the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine. This included Dr. Maher Al-Taher, the Front’s International Relations Official – and comrades Muhammad “Abu Qais” and Nour Nawara – members of the Relations Office.
The Front’s Delegation presented a picture of the historical battle waged by the Palestinian people – and the current “Battle of the Al-Aqsa Flood,” – against the Zionist Occupation, which confirms our people’s insistence on liberating every atom of the soil of Palestine! This also onfirms the fragility of the Israeli fascist entity through the collapse of its Zionist Army and (illegal) Settlers in the face of the heroism of our people from the valiant Gaza Strip and the entire territory. Through these heroic actions the Occupied Palestinian Territory will be free!
Al-Taher also spoke about the state of hysteria experienced by the Zionist Occupation and its leaders – and the daily bombing that targets civilians – including children, women and hospitals in the steadfast Gaza Strip. He stressed that the United Palestinian Resistance Factions on the ground and in the field – face this aggression with valour and resistance – as the Zionist enemy tries to regain its lost prestige through indiscriminate bombing. Random access, cutting off electricity and water, preventing the arrival of Humanitarian Aid, and completely besieging the Strip – this is how the fascist Zionists react!
Al-Taher added that the United States of America actually entered the war by encouraging this (fascist) Zionist aggression and providing all forms of military support to the Occupation. The Americans view these fascist (Zionist) criminals as heroes – such is their deficient attitude!
For his part, the Cuban Ambassador affirmed Cuba’s full support for the Palestinian people – who are waging a heroic battle to regain all their national rights, stressing the importance of the Unity of the Palestinian Factions in the face of aggression – and stressing that all free and honourable people in the world stand by the just struggle waged by the people of Palestine.

استقبل السفير الكوبي في دمشق، في مقر السفارة الكوبية، قبل ظهر يوم الثلاثاء 10-10-2023 وفدا من الجبهة الشعبية لتحرير فلسطين، ضم الدكتور ماهر الطاهر، مسؤول العلاقات الدولية في الجبهة والرفاق محمد “أبو قيس”، ونور نوارة أعضاء مكتب العلاقات.
قدم وفد الجبهة صورة عن المعركة التاريخية التي يخوضها الشعب الفلسطيني “معركة طوفان الأقصى” ضد الاحتلال الصهيوني، التي أكدت إصرار شعبنا على تحرير كل ذرة من تراب فلسطين، التي أكدت كذلك هشاشة الكيان الإسرائيلي وانهيار جيشه ومستوطنيه أمام بطولات أهلنا في قطاع غزة الباسل وعموم الأراضي الفلسطينية المحتلة.
كما تحدث الطاهر عن حالة الهيستيريا التي يعيشها قادة الاحتلال والقصف اليومي الذي يستهدف المدنيين والأطفال والنساء والمستشفيات في قطاع غزة الصامد، مؤكدا أن فصائل المقاومة الفلسطينية الموحدة على الأرض وفي الميدان تواجه هذا العدوان بكل بسالة وعنفوان، حيث يحاول العدو الصهيوني استرجاع هيبته المفقودة من خلال القصف العشوائي وقطع الكهرباء والماء ومنع وصول المساعدات الإنسانية ومحاصرة القطاع بشكل كامل.
وأضاف الطاهر أن الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية دخلت في الحرب فعليا من خلال تغطيتها للعدوان وتقديم كل أشكال الدعم العسكري للاحتلال.
من جانبه، أكد السفير الكوبي دعم كوبا الكامل للشعب الفلسطيني الذي يخوض معركة بطولية لاستعادة كامل حقوقه الوطنية، مؤكدا أهمية وحدة الفصائل الفلسطينية في مواجهة العدوان، ومؤكدا وقوف كل الأحرار والشرفاء في العالم إلى جانب الكفاح العادل الذي يخوضه شعب فلسطين.
