Holguín, Apr 29 (ACN) With the participation of professionals from eastern Cuba, the territorial workshop of Neonatology was held in the province of Holguín, dedicated to Socializing (Marxist-Leninism) the latest protocols applied in this specialty.

The specialist highlighted Holguín’s performance in diagnostic methods such as Doppler ultrasound, shown during the exchange of experiences.
Tamayo Álvarez emphasized the importance of the preparation of professionals and the subjective conditions in the operation of the service, in the midst of the difficult economic circumstances that the country is going through, which cause limitations in the acquisition of supplies.

Holguín, 29 abr (ACN) Con la participación de profesionales del oriente cubano sesionó en la provincia de Holguín el taller territorial de Neonatología, dedicado a socializar los últimos protocolos aplicados en esta especialidad.
El evento desarrollado este martes en el Hospital Universitario Docente Vladimir Ilich Lenin tuvo entre sus objetivos unificar criterios en cuanto a la atención a recién nacidos.
Ana Nastia Tamayo Álvarez, jefa de este servicio en la institución asistencial, precisó a la prensa que el encuentro pretende revisar los protocolos aplicados y compartir conocimientos en el tratamiento de afecciones como el distrés respiratorio.
Subrayó que la cita incluyó una parte administrativa para el análisis de manuales de organización y procedimiento, imprescindibles en los modos de actuación ante complicaciones en los neonatos.
La especialista destacó el desempeño de Holguín en métodos diagnósticos como el ultrasonido Doppler, mostrada durante el intercambio de experiencias.
Tamayo Álvarez enfatizó en la importancia de la preparación de los profesionales y las condiciones subjetivas en el funcionamiento del servicio, en medio de las difíciles circunstancias económicas que atraviesa el país, las cuales ocasionan limitaciones en la adquisición de insumos.
Holguín cuenta con un servicio regional de cirugía neonatal donde se atienden recién nacidos del oriente cubano con malformaciones congénitas, operados en las primeras horas de vida, el cual ha mantenido durante varios años índices de supervivencia superiores al 95 por ciento.
