Established religion is dangerous on two counts if:
a) It supports predatory capitalism
b) It advocates a position of permanent pre-modernism
Supporting capitalism is almost certainly a modern phenomenon (perhaps over the last four-hundred years) which sees greed and the accumulation of property (and wealth) replacing the ancient teachings regarding non-greed and the rejection of the owning of private property. Preventing society from entering the modern (secular) world allows overwise relatively powerless individuals to retain a rhetorical control over whole swathes of humanity. A lack of a modern education prevents men and women from making meaningful “objective” choices and decisions – and thinking for themselves as to whether a religious teaching is viable or not. The rejection of secular society is also the rejection of the entire edifice of law which protects individuals (and groups) from the ignorant action of mob-minded religionists.
Rejecting modernity is to reject the advancement of human ingenuity and societal organisation. If societal structures are maintained at the pre-modern level – then the teachings of primitive religion will hold sway and dominate the thinking of every person born into such a society. Furthermore, although feudal in nature, many such societal structures seek-out the support of the fascist ideology as a protective barrier between itself and the forces of progression. The democratically elected “Socialist” government voted into Office in a 1970s Afghanistan is a case in point. The US, in a bid to prevent the spread of modernity in its purely Socialist guise – the CIA developed the reactionary “Mujahadeen” – recruited from the illiterate tribal areas – the precursor of Al Qaeda and ISIS (and a host of others). The US has spread this Islamo-fascist ideology across the world – killing millions in its wake and causing immeasurable suffering!
Although nearly all Muslims support Palestine, not all Muslims support Socialism or the leftist groups that support Gaza. Qatar and its Al Jazeera news network is a classic example of this duplicity. On the one-hand, Al Jazeera peddles anti-Semitism in the guise of resisting Zionism – whilst simultaneously following US anti-China dictates and printing all kinds of anti-intellectual nonsense. Indeed, Al Jazeera is taking the lead in continuing to criticise (and racialise) Israeli war crimes – whiles cheering the fall of Syria and the victory of the ISIS off-shoot that has conquered it. Biden has applauded this coverage – and has promised to take the Islamo-fascist invaders of Syria of the “Terrorist List” – once the mass-headings, rape, and “disappearances” have come to an end! The terror and horror that is unfolding in Syria is epoch-making – and yet at least half the news outlets supporting Palestine are applauding the Islamo-fascist take-over of Syria – referring to President Assad as “Hitler” and giving voice to obvious CIA-authorised scripts.
This disinformation campaign involves false allegations of torture chambers”, “baby incubators”, and “sullied women”, etc, augmented by cut-offs involving statue-toppling (the latter was particularly difficult – as the only known statue for Assad was raised in a Nursery playground by grateful parents). Muslims who participate in this spreading of (politicised) falsehood are contradicting the Holy Qur’an – and committing a sin against both the Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) – and the all merciful Allah! Living with Muslims, as I have done, one mark of Islamic civilisation is “sharing” and “truth-hood” – end of story. I was treated with the utmost respect and NEVER asked for money – whilst being given food and board. It is ashame that anti-China racism resides in the Islamic community – or at least one-part of it – simply on the grounds that the conservative element dislikes Socialism. Religionists, if they do not embrace Socialist modrnity (Maoism, for instance), such entities will eventually be overwhelmed by other versions of modernity – and run the risk of the destruction in the name of naked profit! Whilst the heads roll in the Syrian dust – the US (and Israeli) Contractors are already moving in!
