The criticism of Russell T Davis’ (RTD) latest incarnation of Dr Who stems from a broad reading of right-wing (and far-right) literature and includes the following fields of fascistic concern:
Anti-woman
Anti-disabled
Anti-Gay
Anti-trans
Anti-Black
Anti-Asian
Anti-progression
Anti-youth
This situation has arisen from over a century of the demonisation of “Scientific Socialism” and the removal of all collective organisation (and bargaining) from within Western society. More than this, such a system-wide criticism removes the very idea of “Socialism” from the Western psyche (and behaviour) – leaving a right-wing “Anarchy” as the only direction of philosophical development. This egotistical lurch to the right manifests through the mode of “hyper-individualism”. This type of “Soviereign Citizen” mentality mistakenly interprets an individual existence as being above and beyond the State – and any other social means of civilised organisation. Such a manifestation is just as likely to be used to organise acts of terrorism against the State (such as formulated by the CIA in the construction of Islamo-fascism) – as it is to motivate any defence of the State (as it is used in High Schools and Colleges when recruiting young men and women for the military and the Police). The bourgeoisie has chosen this path because it keeps the privileged 10% in power and in a dominant political, cultural and social position. Any open dissent can be immediately crushed – whilst any implied dissent can simply be outlawed and strangled in its cribb (a plight Winston Churchill wished upon the 1917 Bolshevik Revolution in Russia).
The bourgeois hype-machine has continuously misportrayed “Scientific Socialism” as being “evil” and to represent the “devil” as defined within the Judeo-Christian tradition (an idea formulated by Joseph Goebbels and adopted by a post-1945 US). Furthermore, everything that fascism has represents (and ha inflicted upon humanity) has been projected onto “Scientific Socialism” – whilst the forces of fascism continue to act in a despicable manner. Socialism is the only answer to the ills of fascism and predatory capitalism – but as it is not allowed to develop within the minds and bodies of the population of society – right-wing “Anarchy” is the result. The inverted mind-set of the bourgeois system manifests as anti-intellectualism and bigotry – presented with aggression and certainty. With the US (and NATO) projecting Neo-Nazi regimes into Eastern Europe – this has led to a resurgence of the conditions of the 1920s and 1930s – with Western Europe lurching to the right to reflect the new world order. Fascism is well and truly back, and Socialism is fighting a rear-guard action. Yes – given these conditions, China, Cuba, North Korea, Vietnam and Laos are fighting a retreat – strangled by the illegal sanctions applied by the US, UK and EU.
I do not particularly like the current incarnation of Dr Who – but this is because of the style of the writing – which seeks to make the non-human Doctor far more “human”. Why? The Doctor is NOT human – he is a Time Lord from the Planet Gallifrey. Theoretically, the Doctor could manifest as any being (I have often thought of a Chinese man or woman surnamed “Hu” [虎] – or “Tiger”) and does not have to appear in a body most humans find comfortable or familiar. Furthermore, some of the episodes have been very good – whilst others have not been so – in my opinion. I think every season of any programme is like this – as not everyone can be pleased all the time. I detest fascism, racism, bigotry, discrimination and prejudice in any form. YouTube, which pumps US anti-intellectualism into the brains of our British children – is a cesspit for fascist reaction – which follows a deliberate policy of punishing any Black or Asian opposition to the “White” dominant (and “straight”) viewpoints the platform encourages and allows (primarily through advertising). People with Disabilities do not stand a chance in such a hellish environment.
When I fed all the reactionary opinions regarding Dr Who into an “Artifiial Intelligence” (AI) programme – enquiring as to which personage in history would best meet and allay all the concerns of the average complainer – I invariably received the answer of “Adolf Hitler”! When I further enquired as to what book should guide the scripte-writing of Dr Who given these parameters – I received the answer of “Mein Kampf”! For average fascist discontent – which are everywhere nowadays – Adolf Hitler would make the perfect Dr Who and his racist ideology would provide the best scripts! A similar answer was acquired when I fed-in the response of the US, UK and EU to China and Russia – enquiring what was the underlying thought-processes that motivate these responses? Those who complain about Dr Who in a fascistic sense form a wall of “Anarchic” stupidity that the bourgeoisie uses to confront any non-White State and Socialist entity. The response is exactly the same because it is the inner programming that the bourgeois State deliberately encourages and supports from one generation to the next.
