Blogger’s Note: Russia appears to have a number of statues and plaques associated with the bravery of the North Korean Army – that helped liberate Kursk after Neo-Nazi Ukraine invaded it (with help from the UK). Obviously, this act of NATO aggression failed. The DPRK came to the assistance of Russia during its hour of need – even though modern Russia is “capitalist” – and it was the 15-countries that comprised the Soviet Red Army that freed North Korea from Imperial Japanese occupation in 1945. Dialectical materialism often does not develop in a symmetrical or predictable manner – as there are all kinds of twists and turns. I hear that around 101 North Koreans were killed on the Kursk battlefield – with their sacrifice reported by the West in a highly racialised and demeaning manner. Indeed, the dead bodies of attacking Ukrainians often had their faces blurred-out – whilst KPA flags and insignia were falsely added to their uniforms via AI manipulation. However, in the Russian article linked below are the first official photographs I have come across of the KPA in action in Russia. The KPA looks calm, tough, and highly committed. ACW (27.7.2026)
Pyongyang, July 27 (KCNA) — A tablet was unveiled with due ceremony at the Pantheon of Defenders of the Motherland run by the Defence Ministry in Moscow Region on July 24th 2026 to convey the heroic feats of soldiers of the Korean People’s Army overseas Operations Units – involved in the action to liberate Kursk Region of the Russian Federation.
Seen on the tablet are letters written in Russian reading “Russia will never forget the feats performed by the DPRK combatants in Kursk Region”, together with the image of a KPA soldier involved in the operation to liberate Kursk Region standing at the battlefield with an automatic rifle against the background of the DPRK flag.
Present at the unveiling ceremony were officials of the Defence Ministry and the General Staff of the Armed Forces and officials concerned of the Russian Federation.
On hand were the DPRK ambassador to Russia and staff members of his embassy.
Speeches were made at the ceremony.
Wreaths in the name of the DPRK embassy and the Defence Ministry of the Russian Federation were laid at the tablet amid the playing of wreath-laying music. (End)
