Montgomery County Courthouse: The Sorry Tale of “Chud the Builder”! (16.5.2026)

Chud the Builder Charged
Chud the Builder Charged

Hi Adrian

So, Chud the Builder (Dalton Eatherly) is in the klink – or is out on bail – conditions are hazy. He opened-fire on an African-American man hitting both himself and the other person (there is a school of thought that only he fired – causing both injuries). On the other hand, what the far-right is sharing is that Eatherly was stalked by an armed Black-man who had him thrown-out a restaurant and then drove up and down the road threatening Eatherly with a gun (actually, that bit is true and is on film, I have seen it) – and a few days later ambushed Eatherly outside a local Courthouse – causing the incident. Eatherly has posted that the Black-man drew a gun and he was forced to defend himself. Whatever the case, it is Eatherly who has been arrested and charged with attempted murder – although both men were injured and taken to hospital. Of course, both camps have started highly lucrative money-raising campaigns amounting to hundreds of thousands dollars (The Black victim’s campaign is quoted in full below). Although Eatherly says he was released on bail – news reports state that he might still be in gaol. Who knows? What happens is that the State isolates the accused completely from the outside world so that they are at the mercy of the State apparatus. I suspect the far-right support network takes over all the posting on behalf of Eatherly – so what we see is part-true and part-manipulation. Eatherly is a construction worker from Tennessee who seems to style his appearance after that of a dashing Confederate Officer – as the British press used to report in the 1860s. He decided to livestream his racial antagonism of African-American and broadcasting their anger at being abused. He then sold t-shirts and hoodies with the words “Chimping-Out” printed upon them. He was then sacked from his employment for being racist. He then went self-employed for a time – but claims he is a victim of “BLM” violence and terrorism in that no one will employ him. He is known throughout te far-right as “Chud the Builder” – I suppose a type of malignant “Bob the Builder”! I have forwarded an article and a post made in Dalton’s name from his Telegram Channel.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — A live-streamer known for creating racist content has been at the center of attention this week after two incidents in Middle Tennessee.

Dalton Eatherly, a 28-year-old man known as “Chud the Builder” was arrested twice this week, gaining national attention.

FOX 17 News is breaking down everything we know about Eatherly below:

Who is “Chud the Builder”?

“Chud the Builder” is a Tennessee-based live-streamer known for posting “racially charged content,” often described as “rage bait.”

Eatherly currently has a social media following based on these livestream videos, some of which he films, and confrontations with strangers in public places.

Why is “Chud the Builder” in the spotlight?

Within one week, Eatherly was charged in two separate incidents across Middle Tennessee. Last weekend, Eatherly caused a scene at a Nashville steakhouse, got kicked out by staff and refused to pay his meal.

He was later charged with theft of $1000 or less after he ordered two full entrees, drinks and appetizers totaling $371.55. He was also charged with disorderly conduct for the May 9 incident.

On Wednesday, May 13, Eatherly was detained after a shooting outside the Montgomery County Courthouse and later charged with attempted murder. Investigators said the shooting may have stemmed from a physical altercation between two adult men that escalated into shots being fired.

Eatherly and the second man involved, who has not yet been identified to the public, both suffered from gunshot wounds. Investigators have not yet said what sparked the confrontation or whether both men were armed.

A witness who saw the aftermath of the shooting called the incident “pretty, pretty scary.”

What’s Next?

As of Thursday morning, Eatherly was still booked at Montgomery County Jail, where he is being held pending arraignment, at which time bond will be set.

Statement by Dalton Eatherly:

‘I was wrongly arrested after a restaurant who had “ChudTheBuilder” written down at the host stand before I ever walked in the door, conspired to have me charged. Then, I was held until noon on Mother’s Day. Had to cancel breakfast plans with my family.

I was interviewed by the feds and bank account frozen. All electronic devices seized, as well as my firearm. The police cleared my multi-factor authentication keys after they took all my items so now I can’t sign into any of my iCloud or any other accounts.

I could not care less about some hat. I am simply weary after 6 months of being attacked by our government for expressing the constitutional freedoms our ancestors fought and died for.

Wake up America.

It’s not illegal for White people to say the same word they say to each other.’

Josh & Family

‘Hello everyone,

It saddens me to come and ask for help, but today at the Montgomery County Courthouse in Clarksville, TN, my husband was involved in an altercation that led to him being shot by a man known as “Chud the Builder,” who is widely known for making racial slurs toward people of color.

My husband, Josh, was shot in the stomach and shoulder. As of the latest update, he is in stable condition, but the emotional and financial impact this will have on our family is unimaginable. There is no telling how long I may be out of work to help care for my husband, who is already a disabled veteran and suffers from other medical conditions.

Our children are also struggling through this difficult time. I’m not asking for a lot, but if you feel it in your heart to help, please consider donating to support our family during this time of need.

If you’re unable to help financially, we completely understand and simply ask that you please keep us in your prayers.

Thank you all for your love, support, and prayers.
