Blogger’s Note: The BBC does as the UK government demands (reference China, Neo-Nazi Ukraine, Palestine, Syria, and the Workers’ Institute, etc). All news outlets in the West are NOT independent in anyway – but broadcast a certain required spin regarding current events – a great deal of it false, fake, or bias to the point of the criminal. If Western news outlets fail to comply to the (US) government’s preferred narrative (viewed as a Western-wide united front against Socialism – and the left) – then broadcasting licenses are withheld (or withdrawn) and ample fines applied. Dissenting Editors face banning, arrest, and/or imprisonment – whilst advertising revenue is diverted to those outlets that fully “comply”. In-short, the so-called “free press” is anything but “free”. Furthermore, whilst presenting false narratives as the “truth” – outlets such as the BBC also “bury” news that paints the Establishment in a poor (or bad) light. Like news stories involving corrupt Police Officers (the stories appearing at the bottom of page-four – or some other equally vague and uninspiring position) – such stories are technically “published” but in such a manner that draws “minimum” public interest and scrutiny.
Every facet of the Western Establishment plays its part in this drama of deception and manipulation – with search-engines playing doing their bit. Embarrassing news articles are placed further down the front-pages of search-engines so as not to randomly draw unnecessary attention to the general public. The bourgeoisie is terrified that a rogue news story involving Establishment corruption might serve as a spark for a wide-spread Revolution. This is why the bourgeoisie carefully stage-manages education, politics, leisure, and the news, and explains why what “can” and “cannot” be discussed throughout social media is strictly regulated. Obviously, the BBC employing and protecting “Paedophiles” is a sensitive subject since the bad press the corporation received regarding the Jimmy Savile and Gary Glitter exposure. Once again we find a typical aberrant (middle-class) character employed by the BBC as an “expert” – this time in the “Philippines”, “Japan”, and even “China”! The sheer racist implications of this analysis is disturbing. Not only this, but a major British University, on the strength of this BBC-generated fallacy, employed this “Duncan Bartlett” as a general “expert” on Asia! ACW (10.12.2024)
A former BBC journalist has been jailed for eight years for a string of child sexual abuse offences.
Duncan Bartlett, 52, was jailed at Wood Green Crown Court in north London after admitting paying money to watch live streams of children being sexually exploited.
He had pleaded guilty to 35 offences at an earlier hearing on 30 August.
The Metropolitan Police said detectives seized electronic devices from Bartlett and recovered nearly 6,000 indecent images of children.
They also found evidence he made payments to people in the Philippines who would arrange live films of children being sexually exploited for Bartlett to watch.
Bartlett – who worked as a BBC journalist for 14 years until 2015 — was arrested in September 2021.
He spent time as a correspondent in Tokyo and presented “World Business Report” on the BBC World Service.
Bartlett, from central London, continued working as a researcher and expert in China at London’s SOAS university until after his guilty plea.
He appears not to have told his employer about his offending and the university did not discover the details of the case until today.
A spokeswoman for SOAS confirmed Bartlett was a research associate and contractor at the London university’s China Institute between 1 January 2021 and 30 September 2024.
She said: “Although not a permanent member of staff or in a student-facing role, he was paid as a contractor to produce a series of podcasts about China, producing his last edition in September 2024.
“Neither SOAS nor the SOAS China Institute were aware of any legal proceedings before we were contacted by the media about this case today.”
