Interreligious dialogue is a thorny issue – as the bourgeois establishment seeks only to “control” and “negate” the foreign entities (and their exotic ideas) that have strayed into their jurisdiction. Things were much more convenient when Great Britain held sway over a vast Empire into which Protestant Christianity was pumped to spite the Pope! Indigenous peoples had their heads measured – and were thrown a Bible – before being told their new role in serving the White Establishment! Fast-forward 200-years and the stage is set for the island of the UK to be inundated with the foreign religions that were once destined for eradication by imperial decree. Where did it all go wrong?
Well, Buddhists in Korea and Vietnam have inflicted two humiliating military defeats upon the US and its allies (the UK was involved in the US War of Aggression in Korea 1950-1953). Furthermore, Buddhism, as a non-White religion, has facilitated Socialist Revolutions all over Asia – and still produces ordained monks and nuns who still call for Socialist Revolutions as a means to re-distribute wealth and solve much of the poverty problems in the world.
