Author’s Note: The US Embassy in London has permanent ‘Armed’ British Police on duty outside its main entrance and patrolling around the grounds (paid for by British taxpayers). These ‘unBritish’ Officers hold their fire-arms ‘Ready’ to fire and make it very clear what will happen to anyone they consider a ‘threat’ to the safety of the predominantly ‘White’ Staff that occupy these American-controlled premises. I know this because I have seen these Police Officers first-hand whilst taking part in ‘Official’ protests outside the US Embassy over the years! The current British Prime Minister comes from a strong foundation of Indian-inspired Hindu chauvinism and is very friendly with the current (Fascist) BJP government of India! Of course, both the UK and Indian governments are servants of US hegemonic forces and are subserviant to US political dictates! Just as the BJP sends Indian soldiers to pointlessly die against the Chinese PLA in the Border regions – the British Authorities a) stoke anti-China (racist) forces in the UK, whilst b) simultaneously removing Police protection from Chinese diplomatic buildings – encouraging and allowing these ‘White’ racist mobs to attack, destroy and maim the bodies of ethnic Chinese people! This is a gross violation of all the guiding principles of International Law – and is reminiscent of the racist behaviour of the Nazi German government when it was at the peak of its political power in Berlin during 1936! China should adopt a more pro-active position regarding a) recognising and b) combatting Eurocentric racism instead of attempting to accommodate this attitude for the sake of peacefuul trade! China cannot trade with those who want to destroy ethnic Chinese minds and bodies! ACW (16.12.2022)
On 14 December, UK Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs James Cleverly issued a statement concerning the violent disruptive incident against the Chinese Consulate General in Manchester. In his statement, he made irresponsible comments by distorting facts. We strongly deplore and firmly oppose this.
The facts of the incident on 16 October are very clear. It was a violent disruptive provocation deliberately staged by anti-China elements. They illegally intruded into the consulate premises and assaulted consulate officials, thus gravely undermining the safety and dignity of consulate officials. Those perpetrators were doing nothing about exercising the so-called “freedom of speech” but everything about engaging in violent disruption.
It must be pointed out that the British government failed to effectively prevent the intrusion and assault carried out by those rioters and to protect the premises and members of the Chinese Consulate General. Instead, the UK side has now chosen to side with those rioters and point fingers at the relevant Chinese consulate officials who were actually the victims. By doing so, the UK side shows no respect for justice and the rule of law, and is being most irresponsible and disgraceful. This is totally unacceptable to the Chinese side, and we have launched solemn representations with the UK.
It must be stressed that the premises and members of Chinese diplomatic and consular missions are inviolable. According to international law including the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations and the relevant agreements between China and the UK, the British government has the obligations to protect the safety and dignity of the premises and members of Chinese diplomatic and consular missions. We urge the UK to reflect on itself, earnestly live up to the above-mentioned obligations, stop political manipulation, stop sheltering the anti-China elements, and ensure the inviolablility of the premises and members of the Chinese diplomatic and consular missions.
The UK side must be clear that reciprocity is an essential principle in diplomacy. Any act that undermines China’s interests will definitely be met with forceful responses.
Question: According to media reports, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak talked about China in a foreign policy speech on 28 November. He falsely claimed that China poses “a systemic challenge to our values and interests” and that there are “abuses in Xinjiang – and the curtailment of freedom in Hong Kong”. He also mentioned that the UK side has blocked Chinese investment in its 5G networks and some projects. What’s your comment?
Embassy Spokesperson: The remarks from the UK side, which are full of ideological prejudice, constitute a malicious distortion and slander against China’s policies. We firmly oppose this.
China is committed to the path of peaceful development and dedicates itself to developing friendly and cooperative relations with other countries based on the principles of mutual respect, equality, and non-interference in each other’s internal affairs. It has always been a builder of world peace. China has brought opportunities to the development of the world through its own development, and has always been a contributor to global development.
According to a World Bank report, from 2013 to 2021, China contributed 38.6% on average to world economic growth, exceeding that of the G7 countries combined. In what way does China challenge the UK’s values and interests? The root cause of Britain’s difficulties today lies in itself. We do not accept groundless accusations against China.
As for issues related to Xinjiang and Hong Kong, these are China’s internal affairs, and the UK side is in no position or has any right to pass judgment. Facts have fully proved that the Chinese government has adopted the right policies on Xinjiang and Hong Kong, and these policies are conducive to safeguarding human rights, promoting development, and achieving long-standing peace and stability. The relevant remarks from the UK side confuse black and white out of ulterior motives. It is time for the UK side to seek treatment for its own colonial mindset.
Regarding the UK’s blockage of Chinese investment in some projects, such a practice blatantly violates market principles and international trade rules. And clearly, it does no one any good.
China urges the UK to abandon its prejudice, respect facts, and stop slandering China and interfering in China’s internal affairs. It is unwise to blindly follow the direction of the United States and intentionally erect barriers to the development of China-UK relations. The UK should work with China in the same direction, and expand cooperation and manage differences on the basis of mutual respect and mutual benefit. This is the right choice that serves the interests of the people of both countries.
