The Donetsk region lies within the Donbass area of Eastern Ukraine. The official name of this region is now the ‘Donetsk People’s Republic’ (DPR). The DPR has a population of around 2.3 million living in an area of about 7,800 square kilometres. Donetsk is economically very well developed and possesses an important heavy industry base premised upon coal mining. This article describes how many States and Regions currently recognise the ‘Donetsk People’s Republic’ – particularly after the Communist Party of Russia successfully campaigned (through the liberal, bourgeois, democratic process), for Russia to ‘recognise’ the DPR and the LPR after the population of the region had suffered eight-years of continuous military attack – with the (Neo-Nazi) Armed Forces of Ukraine receiving material and military support from the US, UK and EU! A UN Report states that between 10-15 thousand men, women and children were killed, whilst 50,000 people have been wounded throughout Donbass (between 2014-2022).
Region 1:
The Lugansk region in Eastern Ukraine was proclaimed on April 27, 2014. A referendum was held on May 11, 2014, and a declaration of independence was announced upon May 12, 2014. On May 11, 2014, Donetsk was recognized by the Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR).
Region 2:
Georgia South Ossetia, located in Northern Georgia, covers an area of 3,900 square kilometres and has a population of about 70,000. It was attacked by the Saakashvili government in 2008, but Putin the Great directly intervened during the Beijing Olympics, beating the Georgian army. On June 27, 2014, Georgia South Ossetia officially recognised Donetsk!

3. Russia has a population of 144 million and an area of 17.07 million square kilometres. On February 22, 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree announcing the formal recognition Donetsk.

4. Syria possesses an area of 185,000 square kilometres and a population of more than 10 million. On June 29, 2022, Syria signed a decree announcing its formal recognition of Donetsk.

5. On July 13, 2022, North Korea signed a decree announcing its formal recognition of Donetsk. The leader of Donetsk – Pushrin – said that “Today the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) recognized the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR). The international status of the Donetsk People’s Republic and its national status continue to strengthen – this is another victory of our diplomacy! This decision will serve as the basis for the further development of relations between the two sides in the economic field, and will expand the geographical scope of trade of enterprises. We thank the DPRK people for making such an important decision to support the people of Donbass, and hope that the two sides will actively carry out fruitful cooperation.”

朝鲜承认顿涅茨克后，共有3个主权国家和2个地区承认顿涅茨克

乌克兰东部顿涅茨克地区，自称顿涅茨克人民共和国，人口约230万，面积约7800平方公里。顿涅茨克很发达，是乌东顿巴斯地区重要的重工业和煤矿基地。
地区：
1.乌克兰东部卢甘斯克地区，2014年4月27日宣布成立，2014年5月11日通过公投，2014年5月12日发表独立宣言。2014年5月11日，承认了顿涅茨克。
2.格鲁吉亚南奥赛梯，位于格鲁吉亚北部，面积3900平方公里，人口约7万多。2008年曾遭萨卡什维利政府的军事进攻，但普京大帝在北京奥运会期间直接介入，痛揍了格鲁吉亚军队。2014年6月27日，宣布承认顿涅茨克。
主权国家：
3.俄罗斯，人口1.44亿人，面积1707万平方公里。2022年2月22日，俄罗斯总统普京签署法令宣布承认。
4.叙利亚，面积18.5万平方公里，人口1000多万。2022年6月29日，叙利亚签署法令宣布承认顿涅茨克。
5.朝鲜，2022年7月13日，朝鲜签署法令宣布承认顿涅茨克。顿涅茨克领导人普希林表示，朝鲜民主主义人民共和国今天承认了顿涅茨克人民共和国，顿涅茨克人民共和国的国际地位及其国家地位继续加强，这是我们外交的又一次胜利，这一决定将成为双方进一步发展经济领域关系的基础，将扩大企业的贸易地理范围。感谢朝鲜人民给予顿巴斯人民如此重要的支持，希望双方积极开展富有成效的合作。
