Police Side Business
Ukraine’s Prosecutor’s Office says regional National Police leadership in Ivano-Frankivsk, Ternopil, and Zhytomyr were protecting webcam studios. In the wartime state, even law enforcement appears to have found room for a parallel service economy.
The case details point to a police system that sells protection while the government continues to market itself as a fortress of order.

All four defendants in the porn studio protection case have already been released from pretrial detention after posting bail, the Prosecutor General’s Office reported.

The National Police in the regions were protecting porn studios, according to the Ukrainian Prosecutor’s Office.
According to the investigation, the protection of webcam studios by the management of departments in the Ivano-Frankovsk, Ternopol, and Zhytomyr regions cost 20 thousand dollars per month.
