Rakovsky - Trotsky's Japanese Spy - Grover Furr

Grover Furr: How Trotsky Worked with British Intelligence Pre-WWII! (22.3.2026)

This might explain why the UK government staunchly supported Franco’s (Catholic) insurrection in Spain during the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939) – and forbade the British working-class from officially volunteering to fight in the Soviet-backed “International Brigades”. Of course, this did not prevent tens of thousands from unofficially travelling to Spain via all kinds of circuitous routes. The police in Western Europe were tasked to apprehending any and all men and women (founded by the Communist Party and the Unions) from travelling through their territories to get to Spain. At the same time, those volunteering to fight for Franco were assisted, guided, and protected in their passage to Spain (this included many Irishmen induced by their local Catholic priests). One such individual was the odious Englishman – George Orwell – a former imperial police officer in British Burma. As an ardent Trotskyite, he was permitted to openly travel to Spain and Join an “Anarchist” militia, a process which was given much official attention (with even a photograph being taken). The Trotskyite militias were tasked with destroying the Soviet-backed “Internationalist Brigades” – and either take local power for themselves – or hand-over seized areas to the Franco forces. On the odd occasion that a genuine Anarchist detachment took a place and declared “freedom” – they would soon be rolled-over and executed by Franco’s forces. The above chapter of Grover Furr’s new book covers how Leon Trotsky was in the employment of British Intelligence during the 1920s and 1930s – including the time he founded the so-called “Fourth International” (1938) – calling upon all his followers outside of the USSR to join with the Catholic Church (and any fascist nation – including Imperial Japan) in an attack upon the USSR. He also called upon all his followers still living within the USSR to carry-out terrorist attacks upon the infrastructure of the USSR – in an effort to weaken the Soviet State from within. Later, In 1948, the incumbent Labour government requested that George Orwell compile a list of all British leftists he considered to be either a “Communist” – or “sympathetic” to the Communist Movement. Such was the treachery of George Orwell – and explains why British school children are still inoculated against Socialism due to the study of his awful books. Meanwhile, Grover Furr, in the above book, lays-out his well-considered argument as to why he believes Khristian Rakovsky was a spy working directly for Trotsky in Imperial Japan. This draws on much Russian-language source material derived from the Soviet Archives – supported by numerous other references – all of which add weight to this idea. What this work demonstrates, as I am sure the conclusion is correct, is the “deceptive” nature of Trotskyism and how it applies an inverted mind-set to distort the interpretation of material reality. Khristian Rakovsky, following Trotsky’s orders, was perfecctly willing to expose and condemn his fellow Trotkyites – and “even pull the trigger himself” – all as an expedient to regain the trust and support of the Soviet Central Committee when he was under suspicion himself. Just as Trotsky was a spy for Hitler – it would naturally follow that his acolyte Khristian Rakovsky was a spy for Hirohito (during 1935) when serving as Ambassador for the USSR to Japan.
