Dear J

Is PA Trotskyite? Well, it is supported by various Trotskyite groups, but also other far left groups. There is an argument that PA is exercising “Adventurism” that does nothing to combat, confront, or uproot predatory capitalism – the driving force behind all imperialism – including Zionist imperialism. If PA is not fighting capitalism, not attempting to secure the working class control of the means of production – then what is it doing? Simply shutting down Israeli arms factories operating in the open in the UK is creating the conditions for these factories to be moved to underground facilities that are much more secure – with their manufacturing capability either carrying on unabated – or increased.

It is naïve to think that throwing paint and blocking a gate is in anyway disrupting capitalism – and herein might well reveal the Trotskyite influence. PA protects capitalism whilst claiming to oppose imperialism. Really? PA supports capitalism whilst opposing one of its functions? Zionism is fascism – but it is also capitalism in decline. Trotskyism seeks to retain capitalism whilst softening its edges and opposing Marxist-Leninism (diverting the workers away from Revolution and toward bourgeois control). In reality, PA seems to align itself with the political (secular) left – but is in reality attempting to replace Zionist Judaism with an Islamic antagonistic to it – eve if we allow that this Islanicism is left-inclined.

This is exactly the “contradictory wedge” that Trotskyism needs and seeks to exploit. What we are seeing here, is the “Good vs Evil” dichotomy that permeates all Abrahamic religions. Islam thinks it’s good and Zionism is bad – whilst the Zionists thinks it is good and Islam is bad. This letter attitude happens to intersect with the current trend of Islamophobia in the Christian (capitalist) West. It is all a variant of a “theistic” theme being played out. What is interesting is how many UK leftists automatically support groups like PA without perceiving their underlying Islamicist agendas. These groups do not want an enlightened, secular society, they want some type of theocratic Islamicist State – and this attitude explains why so many of the pro-Palestinian lobby cheered and applauded the Western overthrow of Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, and Syria – basically anywhere which had developed secular Socialism.

These are very real issues for Marxist-Leninists to consider. What benefit is there to the working class if PA throw paint across a door? How does this type of anarchy free the working class – which is international and not just residing (or suffering) in Gaza? It is interesting how Stalin echoed the Marx and Lenin opposition to terrorism – but how Trotsky (in 1938) ordered his followers in hhe USSR to go out and attack the Soviet State apparatus (which he helped to build) through acts of terrorism. Trotsky wanted the Soviet State weakened to assist any planned future attack from Nazi Germany.

Is PA mimicking this Trotskyite action? Yes – in the sense that this action is aimed at the Israeli State operating in the UK by manufacturing arms – no in the sense PA is not attempting to weaken the British State to assist a future invasion from an outside force. PA justifies its actions on the grounds it possesses both legal and moral grounds – as Israel is committing genocide. Abit of a mixed bag. What we seem to have is an attempt at a united front – a broad coalition of the left – but as Trotskyism seeks to undermine and disempower the left – I would have nothing to do with it as an ideology (remember – just as many right and far-right groups oppose Israel on anti-Sematic grounds – which must be thorougly rejected. Jews are not the problem [as nearly all Muslims think] but rather Zionism).

Of course, all those arrested now working for PA possess either a police and/or criminal record. I wonder what they would say if it was suggested that the Palestinians need rescuing from both Zionist oppression and Islamic inversion? I shudder to think. Whatever the case, Marxist-Leninism is opposed to terrorism as it achieves nothing for the collective working class. PA can only justify it along very narrow, sectarian grounds – as it flirts with Trotskyism and the far-right. Genuine leftists should find Islamic racism toward Jews disturbing and not in anyway part of a legitimate working class struggle. I say all this as supporter of Palestine – and opposer of Zionism. However, I an NOT a theist and reject ALL notions of a god sat up in the clouds who is somehow orchestrating all this nonsence!

Thanks
