PRC Embassy Israel - Israeli Ban Denial

China: Statement Regarding “Israeli Ban” Rumour! (28.1.2026)

Translator’s Note: China’s official policy opposes the Israeli “genocide” in Gaza – but does not hold the Israeli citizenship collectively responsible. This is ironic considering the Israelis routinely apply the (illegal) policy of “collective punishment” toward the Palestinians. The UN declared Zionism a form of “White Supremacy” in a 1975 Resolution (conveniently forgotten today), with the UN declaring (alongside the ICC and ICJ – as well as numerous and varied Human Rights associations) that Israel “is” and “has been” perpetuating a “genocide” against the Palestinian people. The ongoing Zionist Project is to eradicate the Palestinian population (a “genocide” disguised by the rhetoric of “self-defence”) whilst seizing and occupying all Palestinian land. This invasion does not stop here – as the Zionist Project views large swathes of Middle Eastern territory as Biblically belonging to the Jews of old. Israel is armed and financed by the US, UK, and EU and acts as a destabiliser of Arab culture in the region – which otherwise would become independently rich and powerful through oil revenue. To prevent this, the Israeli and US military has cooperated to destroy all Arab Socialist countries (Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, and Syria – whilst threatening Iran) – and/or convert any existing Arab States that might unite to resist Israel (Egypt, Qatar, Jordon, Saudi Arabia, and UAE, etc) to mere of lackeys of the West and Israeli interests. The USSR cut-off diplomatic ties with Israel in 1952 – but the Trotskyite Khrushchev reinstated them in 1956. In 1967 – after a massive Israeli land-grab in Palestine and Syria – the USSR (and Communist Bloc) severed all ties with Israel and this was the case until 1991. Here is a selection of the views of ordinary Chinese people made at the foot of this article – they express a common sentiment held throughout China:

Attention

On the 28th, the Chinese Embassy in Israel published an article through its WeChat official account, and a spokesperson for the Chinese Embassy in Israel refuted the statement on social media that “China prohibits Israeli tourists from entering the country”.

Reporter: Recently, there has been a rumour circulating on social media that China has “officially banned all Israeli tourists” from entering the country. Please confirm whether such information is true?

Embassy spokesperson: The claim that “China bans Israeli tourists” is false. Contrary to such claims, China continues to introduce visa facilitation measures to further facilitate foreign friends, including Israel, to come to China for business, tourism, work, study and life. In 2025, the number of Israeli citizens applying for Chinese visas will increase by 44% year-on-year, and China is increasingly becoming an important outbound tourism destination and an active investment and business destination for Israeli citizens.
