I have absolutely no vested interest in the (predatory) capitalist system and am definitely not one of those trendy Marxists who think that wealth creation and accumulation is the way ahead for Proletariat Revolution! Once having established the parameters of my perspective – we may assume that my terms have been firmly established. I suspect that many ‘ordinary’ people could not afford to purchase ‘Kyte’ baby clothing and other accessories – so why am I bothering to scribe on the subject? Well, the Founder of this highly lucrative business is one ‘Ying Liu’ – who is of Chinese ethnicity (born in China as ‘Liu Ying’) who came first to Canada and then to the US. Many US-born (ethnic) Chinese people are often no friend of China due to the prevailing US (racist) attitude which links the toleration of the presence of Chinese people in America with that population’s rejection of the country from which their ancestors originate. When Chinese Mainland citizens first arrive in the West – and attempt to mix with Chinese people born here – they are often surprised by this attitude. I know nothing about Ying Liu’s personal attitudes other than the fact that her ‘Kyte’ company has branches throughout the world – including China.
This racist attitude of the US prevails regardless of the fact all other White, Black, Asian, and Indigenous people that comprise the population of America can relate to every European, African, Asian, and Indigenous country that exists (or has existed) – regardless of the socio-economic system these countries pursue (or have pursed). The US, for instance, once financially and materially supported the ‘Socialist’ Irish Republican Army (IRA) during the 1960s,1970s, and 1980s against the British Army in Northern Ireland – providing the weapons that killed British soldiers. Of course, even if this observation is correct – it is also true that the US is a ‘White’, ‘Judeo-Christian’ country that exercises a definite bias toward ‘Europe’ and ‘European’ culture (regardless of its destructive behaviour). Every other non-White grouping must jokey for position in the hierarchy administered by their White over-lords. Anyone so inclined may search-engine ‘Ying Liu’ and ‘Kyte’ and observe the cascade of (anti-Chinese) racist filth that manifests – thinly disguised as legitimate ‘enquiry’ and even logical ‘concern’!
The US System advocates a ‘free market’. This means that a capitalist market is permitted to function with as little regulation as possible. In-turn, this allows the natural domination of the managers (those who own and control the means of production) over the workers (those who own and control nothing other than their labour). The term ‘free’ as used in this US context means ‘free of responsibility for the welfare of others’. Managers possess the slightest of legal concern for their employees – as this attracts the least cost – and allows wages to be driven as low as possible. This reality is compounded and magnified when the managers are ‘White’ and the workers are ‘non-White’. Indeed, the ruthless exploitation of the workers in the US happens minute by minute and day by day – and the US (White) media barely covers these stories (as it does not want to be seen as taking the side of the workers over the managers).
What, then, is different with the present ‘Kyte’ case? Kyte has been the victim of White racism in the past – but this incident is a little different. An apparent injustice committed by White ‘Kyte’ managers against a White (US) employee has been levied at the door of the ethnically ‘Chinese’ CEO – one ‘Ms Ying Liu’ – who has been ‘forced’ to apologise not ‘once’ but ‘twice’ through social media videos! How extraordinary when it was ‘White’ managers who orchestrated this episode, and which are responsible for it. Meanwhile, the US System continues to demean, persecute, and otherwise discriminate against all US workers with impunity with virtually no media scrutiny. Today, White Americans are using the internet to search such anti-intellectual (racist) concepts as ‘Do Chinese Babies Wear Nappies?’, ‘Do Chinese Babies Wear Clothing?’, ‘Is Chinese Baby Clothing Safe?’, ‘What Dangerous Toxic Chemicals Are Found in Chinese Baby Clothing?’, ‘Is Kyte Chinese?’, ‘Is Ying Liu American?’, ‘Should We Boycott Kyte?’, and ‘Are Chinese Mothers Safe?’, etc. Although I have nothing in common with Ying Liu – our lives are very different – I stand in Ying Liu’s defence against the wall of White racism which is attempting to fall upon this successful young business woman.
