These countermeasures, which took effect on Wednesday, were adopted in response to the United States’ sanctions against Chinese companies under the pretext of so-called “forced labour,” according to the ministry.

The U.S. move seriously violates international law and the basic norms of international relations, and gravely undermines China’s sovereignty, security and development interests, the ministry said.

The six U.S. entities subject to the countermeasures are Applied DNA Sciences, Inc., Stratum Reservoir, LLC., Altana Technologies, Inc., Responsible Business Alliance, Verite Group, Inc., and Human Rights in China. They assisted and supported the United States’ unlawful Xinjiang-related sanctions, the ministry said in a statement.

Years later, I learned that at least Republics of the USSR were “Buddhist” and of various ethnicities (including “Tibetan”). Modern Russian people, at least those in the pay of the US, should stop lying about the glorious past that is the USSR. It was – and still remains – the US (not Russia or the USSR) that is the most racist country on earth. Even their Black President Obama instigated Neo-Nazism in Ukraine – destroying the Slavic people both sides of the divide. I wish young Russians would think about what they are writing – about the false narratives they are buying into. This is why I have carried-out a lot of translation work for the Communist Parties of Lugansk and Donetsk – as that is my ideological doorway into modern Russia. Of course, I am not Russian – and do not pretend to be. I am a Sinotised Celt – and that’s about it. I value historical truth other disinformation. The world could learn much under a USSR under Lenin and Stalin. After-all, 41 million Soviets were killed and wounded assisting the UK as allies during WWII.

In other words, anyone can be subject to sanctions, and the result is to prevent people from entering Cuba from the large investment to that individual help that provides the medicine that a sick child urgently needs. Because the blockade and each new order, measures or strategies that expand it, that extend its scope, do nothing more than accentuate the suffering of a people, in whose collective punishment they have been committed sick with hatred and impotence.

Cuba regrets decision of the government of Jamaica to cease medical cooperation by giving in to pressure from the United States

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba informs that, on March 4, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Jamaica informed our Embassy in that country of its government’s unilateral decision to terminate the cooperation agreement on health matters that has linked both nations for decades.

With this action, the government of Jamaica gives in to pressure from the United States government, which is not concerned about the health needs of the Caribbean brothers.

Cuba deeply regrets that a history of fruitful and sustained collaboration that has brought countless benefits to the Jamaican people, who are now deprived of the basic and specialized health services provided by Cuban collaborators, is underestimated in this way.

In view of the step taken by the government of Jamaica, the government of Cuba has taken the sovereign decision to proceed with the return of the Cuban Medical Brigade. These health professionals leave behind an indelible mark and return to Cuba with the satisfaction of having fulfilled their duty and the permanent willingness to assist wherever their vocation of solidarity is required.
