Translator’s Note: Cuba has retained the original Marxist-Leninist (Stalinist) model of Revolution whereby the Communist Party (through centralised democracy) ensures that the masses control the economy and that the economy never controls the masses. Medicine is free at the point of use and the State provides free housing and education, etc. In return, the grateful workers donate their selfless labour to build and strengthen the Socialist State, defend that State, and assist in the exporting of Revolutionary activity. Internationalism is the vehicle through which Cuban citizens assist in the spreading of the benefits of Socialist Revolution. The injustice of the US blockade is designed to deliberately impoverish the Cuban State and falsely blame this impoverishment upon Socialism itself. This is a typical capitalist lie. The Cuban people must navigate this material realty imposed by the corrupt US regime – and strive to prevail regardless of circumstance. It is unjust – yes – but capitalism must be left in the past together with its inverted attitudes. Of course, China since 1979 has controversially gone down the path of engaging capitalism externally and using its wealth-creation to build (internally) its own Socialist State. The Communist Party of China believes it can a) engage capitalism in the world, whilst b) preventing its damaging free market aspects from seeping into and destroying the interior of Socialist China. Cuba rejects this model (as does North Korea) – and refuses to subject its own people to the hellish dictates of free market economics. This difference in approach to Socialist State building explains why it is that various Maoist groups outside of China (such as those functioning in the Philippines) do not associate themselves with China and accuse the CPC of revisionism and reaction, etc. Whereas Cuba routinely sends its Revolutionary troops abroad to ferment Revolution – a post-1979 China certainly does not. PLA soldiers will not be found anywhere outside of China – and the rhetoric of China is always toward preserving the exploitative status quo of the international community – so that trade is unhindered. Which model is right? Who knows. What it comes down to is self-determination and dealing with the material reality as it exists – rather than what we would like it to be. In the end, the bodies of 32 Cuban men were torn to pieces by the military weapons of the capitalist US. Socialist ideology was beaten by capitalist materialism – and perhaps there is a valuable lesson here for all Socialists to learn, The world is comprised of matter – and who controls this matter calls the tune we all have to dance to. Cuba has released a “list of martyrs” of Cuban citizens who died in the US military operation to kidnap President Maduro in Venezuela in the early morning of January 3 – with a total of 32 Cuban soldiers who sacrificed their lives in the attack. The Cuban authorities have released the names and photographs of these citizens and stated that they are distributed in the Ministry of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Cuba and the Ministry of the Interior of Cuba. The oldest victim was 67 years old, while the youngest was only 26 years old, including two colonels. These brave Cuban fighters fought valiantly until the last moment of their lives while on a mission in Venezuela. These people died in Venezuela, which immediately reminded me of Che Guevara’s sacrifice in Bolivia. In Havana People are lining-up to pay their respects to the 32 Cuban personnel who died in Venezuela. Many may say that they are surprised why these Cubans went to defend the Venezuelan president. Why are not all Venezuelans defending their own president? This matter is complicated, and the reasons are still unclear, whilst many Venezuelans did die in the fighting, but now there is a saying that Maduro was actually betrayed by his own people, that is, by some traitorous people in the Venezuelan government. However, I am not surprised that these Cuban warriors did protect Maduro – in addition to Venezuela being an important energy supplier to Cuba, we also need to pay attention to some other more important perspectives to know why Socialist Cuba behaves in the way it does.
Everyone may have forgotten that at the beginning of 2020, when there was the Covid-19 emergency in Milan – when Italy panicked, there were no countries and governments in the entire Western country to assist Italy, and only three countries stood up to help Italy first, the socialist countries China and Cuba, and the former socialist country Russia. So, do not think Trump is the winner in his illegal kidnap Maduro, as Americans cannot shake Cuba, and I firmly believe that the future will belong to Cuba’s internationalist spirit. Socialist morality is superior to capitalist greed – and Cuba as a nation – is far more powerful in this manner. Trump’s material greed seems to have won – but it is hate filled and passing. It is Cuba’s selfless spirit of endeavour that the world will remember.

大家有可能都忘了，2020年初，当意大利的米兰成为欧洲土地上第一个新冠疫情大暴发的城市，而且很快就出现大量死亡，意大利全国为之恐慌的时候，整个西方国家没有任何国家和政府去援助意大利，首先站出来援助意大利的只有3个国家，社会主义国家中国和古巴，还有就是前社会主义国家俄罗斯。
中国当时派去了飞机，也派去了医护人员，中国还送过去大量的药品和口罩，中国率队援助意大利的官员级别也非常高。
而俄罗斯呢，普京总统则干脆派出了军机和军用卡车，载着大量的医护人员和药品开进意大利，俄罗斯军车还拖着飞机发动机在米兰街头喷洒消杀剂，那是二战以来俄军首次开上意大利街头。
相比之下，经济实力非常弱小的古巴飞越整个大西洋，向意大利派出了上百名的医生护士，这些穿着白衣的古巴天使们有的人因为出征急迫，自己都没有做好充分的防护准备。
那个时期，意大利的总理和外长（他们都是男的）天天像盼救星一样盼着社会主义大侠们的降临和拯救。
古巴人虽然因美国的长年封锁一直都很贫困，但是这个国家和它的人民拥有高尚的国际主义精神，而这种精神却是现在的世人普遍理解不了的。
所以，别看特朗普能够绑架马杜罗，但是美国人几十里都撼动不了古巴，我坚决相信未来也一样。
