Stalin Peace Prize

Venezuela: JULIAN ASSANGE FILES CRIMINAL CHARGES AGAINST NOBEL FOUNDATION – “TURNING THE PEACE PRIZE INTO AN INSTRUMENT OF WAR”! (17.12.2025)

Translator’s Note: A “Stalin Peace Prize” was developed in the USSR post-1945 to counter the corruption inherent in the Scandinavian Nobel Prize – particularly in light of the fact that Sweden and Norway were occupied by Nazi Germany during WWII (with many thousands of Scandinavian men volunteering for Hitler’s “SS” Divisions that killed so many millions in the Soviet Union and elsewhere). Following Khrushchev’s betrayal of Stalin in 1956 – the Stalin Peace Prize was replaced with the “Lenin Peace Prize” – with those having previously won it demeaned as receiving an award from a working-class leader the capitalist West hated. Indeed, like Portugal, Sweden (although officially “neutral” doing WWII) surreptitiously supported Nazi Germany by supplying important raw materials (such as oil) to the Hitlerite war machine. Like Amnesty International, the Nobel Prize is nothing but an instrument of capitalist aggression and imperialist war. It a typically “inverted” manner – the Nobel Prize facilitates war between human groupings – whilst ridiculously claiming it is pursuing the exact opposite of its true intention. The Nobel Prize creates the conditions for bourgeois war whilst claiming the killing it is encouraging is the genuine bedrock of world-peace. If the Nobel Prize was an individual – he or she would be detained for severe mental health issues. Sweden and Norway have absolutely NOTHING to teach the world about “peace” and the very fact that the Nobel Prize has chosen to empower the most far-right President the US has ever elected – speak volumes! “The incitement of @MariaCorinaYA to the largest US military deployment since the Iraq war makes her categorically ineligible”

Assange points out that the members of the Nobel Foundation have previously exercised their supervisory authority over the prizes and their disbursements by withholding the disbursements of the Literature Prize in 2018. “The lack of intervention here, despite the US war crimes off the Venezuelan coast and Machado’s key role in promoting aggression” incurs criminal liability.

“Alfred Nobel’s endowment for peace cannot be used for the promotion of war,” declares Assange.

The complaint points out how the Nobel announcement and ceremony have occurred in what military analysts describe as “the largest US military deployment in the Caribbean since the Cuban Missile Crisis” — now exceeding 15,000 troops, including the aircraft carrier USS Gerald R. Ford. The military buildup is ongoing, as the president

The WikiLeaks founder alleges that the Nobel Peace Prize awarded to María Corina Machado constitutes misappropriation and facilitation of war crimes under Swedish law; he seeks to freeze 11 million Swedish kronor (US$1.18 million) of pending transfers to Machado

Julian Assange today filed a criminal complaint in Sweden accusing 30 individuals associated with the Nobel Foundation, including its leadership, of committing serious criminal offenses, including the crime of serious misappropriation of funds, facilitation of war crimes and crimes against humanity, and the financing of the crime of aggression.

The complaint shows that Alfred Nobel’s 1895 will explicitly mandates that the peace prize be awarded to the individual who during the preceding year “has conferred the greatest benefit on mankind” by doing “the greatest or best work for the fraternity among nations, for the abolition or reduction of standing armies, and for the holding and promotion of peace congresses”.

Assange argues that: “the political decision of the Norwegian selection committee does not suspend the fiduciary duty of the Swedish fund managers”. “Any disbursement that contradicts this mandate constitutes a misappropriation of the endowment”.

The complaint, filed simultaneously with the Swedish Economic Crime Authority (Ekobrottsmyndigheten) and the Swedish War Crimes Unit (Krigsbrottsenheten), alleges that the suspects, including the Nobel Foundation’s President, Astrid Söderbergh Widding, and its CEO, Hanna Stjärne, turned: “an instrument of peace into an instrument of war”.

This alleged “serious criminality” includes:

1) Serious misappropriation and conspiracy in relation to the pending disbursement of 11 million SEK (US$1.18 million) of the Peace Prize money to María Corina Machado, whose previous and ongoing actions categorically exclude her from the criteria set out in Alfred Nobel’s will;

2) Facilitation of war crimes, including the crime of aggression and crimes against humanity, violating Sweden’s obligations under Article 25(3)(c) of the Rome Statute, because the defendants are aware of Machado’s incitement and support of US international crimes, and knew or should have known that the disbursement of the Nobel money would contribute to extrajudicial executions of civilians and survivors of shipwrecks at sea, and are failing in their obligation to cease the disbursements.

1) Apropiación indebida grave y conspiración en relación con el desembolso pendiente de 11 millones de SEK (1,18 millones de USD) del dinero del Premio de la Paz a María Corina Machado, cuyas acciones previas y en curso la excluyen categóricamente de los criterios establecidos en el testamento de Alfred Nobel;
