We are Hakka Chinese – people from the North of China! The Hakka are believed to have origiated outside of China and to be a mixture of many races and ethnic groups (including Caucasian) who migrated into China, mixed with the local population and migrated Southward over two-thousand years! The Hakka (“Guest People”) brought their distinctive language, culture, food, farming ability, building ability and martial arts into China! The Hakka became “Chinese” over-time – and added to what is today Chinese culture. Although non-Han to start with – the Hakka are now considered “Han” – or at least a branch of the Han ethnicity. Many believe thw Qin ethnicity from Northwest China were part wolf – as they were a mixture of races. This group invaded and destroyed the independent kingdoms that comprised early China – and founded the Qin Dynasty (221–206 BCE).
This was a Hakka dynasty that set the blue-print for all subsequent Chinese culture. Every village was turned into a barracks and every man, woman, and child had to practice a State-created martial art (probably “Longfist”) – that included both unarmed and armed techniques. The Hakka preferred “Legalism” or the novel idea for the time that the same law applied everywhere and to everyone “equally” regardless of race, religion, or rank. Although normal today, this was unusual for the time as Confucianism had developed the notion of “Natural Law” – whereby the nobility could do what they wanted (as their judgement was considered divinely inspired) – whilst the masses of peasantry had to be continuously “crushed” with the weight of an oppressive law.
The masses of peasants could not be trusted and were not allowed any lateral freedom. They existed to farm, labour and die for their feudal lords. The Hakka system was egalitarian by comparison and fed into many Revolutionary Movements all the way up to the Socialist Revolution of 1949! The Hakka-Punti Clan Wars, the Taiping Uprising, the Boxer Uprising, the Nationalist Revolution, and the Socialist Revolution were all Hakka-inspired (Mao Zedong was a Hakka). Furthermore, farmers were respected and men and women were considered “equal” in society – with Hakka women never binding their feet and practicing martial arts. Indeed, Hakka Armies were often comprised of men and women – who competed to see who would reach and kill the enemy first!

恭 = gong1 – (Cantonese “gung”) – Respect
喜 = xi3 – (Cantonese “Hei” – “Hay”) – Happy
發 = fa1 – (Cantonese “fat”) – Generate-Distribute
財 = Cai2 – (Cantonese “Cai” – “Choi”) – Wealth
In otherwards, by showing respect to one another (humanity) animals, plants, and nature – a great inner happiness is generated that flows outward through society and generates all kinds of inner and outer wealth (not just material wealth – but also intellectual, emotional and spiritual). This is the proper use of Confucianism ideology – not distorted by governments and classes that have ulterior motives used to control the masses through deception. The Qing Dynasty (1644-1911 CE) was originally “foreign” (Manchurian-Jurchen) – and distorted Confucian thinking so as to paralyse Chinese society and prevent its development. Today, the Jurchen are now considered “Chinese” – and Confucianism is used to emphasise “education” and “self-cultivation”.
