Translator’s Note: If it was not for Barack Obama’s US Administration backing a Neo-Nazi Coup in Ukraine during early 2014 – I doubt the “capitalist” State Duma of post-1991 Russia would not have passed this Bill into law. Russia’s military resistance to the spread of NATO through Ukraine right up to its borders in 2022 – and the US leading the Western world in an aggressive boycott of Russia – generated the conditions within bourgeois Russia for such a piece of legislation to be considered and passed. Up until recent times, the Russian State – and a large swathe of its people – have done their utmost to destroy all knowledge of Soviet history. Of course, remembering Socialist victories does nothing to further the cause of Socialism.
The Red Army defeating Imperial Japan was not an uncommon occurrence – as might be suggested in the below article. In 1938, on the Manchurian-Korean border the Soviet Red Army destroyed some of the best regiments Imperial Japan had to offer. Again, in 1939 on the Manchurian-Mongolian border the Soviet Red Army once again destroyed a new set of elite Imperial Japanese regiments! This was at a time prior to the outbreak of WWII – when the US (and other Western countries) were still providing Imperial Japan with raw materials to fight its aggressive wars. These Soviet-achieved – decisive military defeats – completely flummoxed the Imperial Japanese High Command as it set about planning for further attacks into the Chinese hinterland, across Asia and against America itself!
Later, after defeating the Nazi Germans and their allies, the Western Allies requested that the Soviet Red Army should enter North-East China and Northern Korea in an attempt to clear these areas of Imperial Japanese military units. Starting in August 1945 – this Soviet Offensive took a number of weeks to destroy a fascist Japanese Army that had been brutally the Chinese and Korean people since 1931! After WWII, the US Occupied Japan and deliberately failed to rid its people of its fascist attitudes – turning them instead toward Socialist China and the USSR! This is why contemporary Japan routinely teaches lies to its children about their own history. ACW (9.5.2024)
Historical justice has triumphed. The State Duma returned Victory Day over Japan!
Corresponding changes have been made to the Federal Law “On Days of Military Glory and Memorable Dates in Russia.” The explanatory note clarifies that the wording on the victory over Militaristic Japan “must be enshrined in federal law, which reflects the principle of historical justice.” The authors of the bill considered it important to indicate in the name of the holiday specifically as “Militaristic Japan”, that is – the political regime in force in Japan in 1945. Its overthrow was important for the establishment of World Peace and was not directed against the ordinary Japanese people themselves – who had suffered terribly from the hardships of the war.

Earlier, the Chairman of the Duma Defense Committee – Andrei Kartapolov (Андрей Картаполов) – said that the new name of the Memorial Date would remind everyone of the events of those days, the power of Russian weapons and the consequences of violating International Law, as well as Russia’s readiness to take counter-steps. “Three amendments were made to the Bill, two legal and technical, with one clarifying names, the second clarifying the source of official publication. The third amendment was recommended for rejection,” the Deputy noted. The initiative is designed to consolidate in the memory of Russians, especially the younger generation, the knowledge of the valiant exploits performed by their ancestors in 1945 not only in Europe, but also in the Far East. Previously, they shyly celebrated the “Day of the End of the Second World War” so as not to remind the so-called Japanese “partners” – how the Soviet ancestors defeated the Imperial Japanese in 1945 – supposedly getting revenge for the defeat Czarist Russia suffered during Russo-Japanese War (US anti-Socialist propaganda)! Now – there are no restraining restrictions, so the holiday established by Comrade Stalin is returning to Russia yet again. Many modern Russians detest the post-1991 conditions and have worked for a return to Soviet values!
Victory Day Over Militaristic Japan Has Been Returned to the Country and People!
At a Plenary Session, the State Duma adopted a Bill to rename the day of Military Glory on September 3rd – to the Day of Victory over Militaristic Japan and the End of World War II. This is exactly what this date will now be called in the law “On Days of Military Glory and Memorable Dates of Russia.” This will oblige the Central and Local Authorities to solemnly celebrate this day of the glorious victory of the Red Army and the Soviet people over the Japanese Militarists who were prolonging the suffering of the peoples of the world and did not want to capitulate.
There were two Victory Days in the Soviet Union: May 9th – Victory Day Over Nazi Germany and September 3rd – Victory Day Over Imperial Japan. And there were two victory medals – on one the profile of Joseph Stalin was facing West, on the other – to the East.
Contrary to the claims of Japanese (US-inspired) propaganda, the USSR in 1945 merely “attacked Japan” – but the reality is that the Red Army liberated the territories of China and Korea Occupied by the Japanese Army, as well as taking South Sakhalin and the Kuril Islands that had previously belonged to the Russian Empire. A Soviet, like a Russian, soldier never set foot on the territory of Japan proper. Therefore, the war of the Soviet Union on the side of the Allied Powers against Militaristic Japan, which unleashed the bloody Second World War together with Nazi Germany – was certainly fair.
However, not everyone in the new Russia has thought like this. This became evident in 1995, when the Federal Law “On Days of Military Glory and Memorable Dates of Russia” was adopted. Then, those who were preparing a shameful deal to surrender the South Kuril Islands to Japan, the contemptuously called “Foreign Minister of Foreign Affairs” A. Kozyrev and his “Ministry of Foreign Affairs” – “convinced” Russian President B. Yeltsin not to “irritate” Tokyo with a reminder of the shameful Surrender – and so cross out the Day of Victory over Japan!
Moreover, this Day of Glory was deleted not only from the Register of Days of Military Glory, but also from less significant Memorable Days. It was as if the brilliant victory of the Soviet soldier in the Far East had not happened at all. And the “first popularly elected President” agreed with this ignorance like an idiot!
The post-1991 Russian Authorities did not want to recognize “Victory Day Over Japan”. A workaround manoeuvre was invented, namely, a new, previously non-existent “Day of the End of the Second World War (1945)” was invented. The Federal Law on this innovation was finally signed on July 23rd, 2010 by Russian President D. Medvedev.
Nevertheless, the struggle to restore the honour and dignity of the Soviet soldiers, who defeated the Japanese Militarists – those fascist fanatics who refused to capitulate even after the American atomic bombing of Japanese cities – did not stop. But fearing the “wrath” of their Far Eastern neighbour, who is now “positioning” herself not as the culprit of the war, but as its victim (following US prompting), the Russian power structures continued to persist.
When once again considering the initiative of a number of State Duma Deputies to Celebrate Victory Day Over Japan, the then Chairman of the Committee on Education and Science, member of the Presidium of the General Council of the United Russia Party, V. Nikonov (В. Никонов), said: “If we agree to adopt the project on Victory Day Over Japan, then the works of our diplomacy can be thrown into the trash… The Japanese are still terribly offended by us – that we then declared war on them…”
The meaning of the law adopted by the State Duma was well understood in Japan. But the Japanese media that published the reports emphasize that the decision of the Russian Parliamentarians was allegedly dictated by the desire to “revenge” the Japanese for the barrage of illegal and unfounded anti-Russian sanctions and Tokyo’s intention to find ways to supply the Kyiv regime with lethal weapons.
In fact, this is not a one-time “revenge” for the rabid Russophobia of the current Japanese government led by the American vassal F. Kishida – but a long-term educational action supported by our people, designed to remember the exploits of the Russian and Soviet soldiers – who literally saved the world from Nazism, Fascism and Militarism!

Историческая справедливость восторжествовала. Государственная Дума вернула День Победы над Японией.

В России меняется наименование дня воинской славы «3 сентября — День окончания Второй мировой войны (1945 год)» на «3 сентября — День Победы над милитаристской Японией и окончания Второй мировой войны». Соответствующий закон прошел третье чтение на пленарном заседании Госдумы 20 июня.
Соответствующие изменения внесены в Федеральный закон «О днях воинской славы и памятных датах России».
В пояснительной записке уточняется, что формулировка о победе над милитаристской Японией «должна быть закреплена на уровне федерального закона, что отражает принцип исторической справедливости».
Авторы законопроекта сочли важным указать в наименовании праздника именно на милитаристскую Японию, то есть на действовавший в 1945 году в Японии политический режим. Его свержение было важным для установления мира на планете и не было направлено против мирных жителей Японии, пострадавших от тягот войны.
Новое/старое название праздника 3 сентября –
“День Победы над милитаристской Японией и окончания второй мировой войны”.
Ранее председатель думского Комитета по обороне Андрей Картаполов заявил, что новое название памятной даты напомнит всем о событиях тех дней, о силе русского оружия и о последствиях нарушения международного права, а также готовности России пойти на контршаги.
«К законопроекту поступило три поправки, две юридико-технические, одна уточняет наименования, вторая — источники официального опубликования. Третья поправка рекомендована к отклонению», — отметил депутат.
Инициатива призвана закрепить в памяти россиян, в особенности подрастающего поколения, знания о доблестных подвигах, совершенных их предками в 1945 году не только в Европе, но и на Дальнем Востоке.
Ранее стыдливо отмечали “день окончания второй мировой войны”, чтобы не напоминать японским “партнерам”, как наши предки их разгромили в 1945-м году, поквитавшись за русско-японскую войну.
Теперь сдерживающих ограничителей нет, поэтому праздник установленный Сталиным снова к нам возвращается. Я давно выступал за возвращение первоначального смысла этого праздника, поэтому сегодня я очень доволен. Страна продолжает меняться к лучшему, хоть и не так быстро, как хотелось бы.
День Победы над милитаристской Японией возвращён стране и народу
Государственная Дума на пленарном заседании приняла законопроект о переименовании дня воинской славы 3 сентября в День Победы над милитаристской Японией и окончания Второй мировой войны. Именно так теперь будет именоваться эта дата в законе «О днях воинской славы и памятных датах России». Это обяжет центральные и местные власти торжественно отмечать этот день славной победы Красной армии и советского народа над затягивавшими страдания народов мира не желавшими капитулировать японскими милитаристами.
В Советском Союзе было два Дня Победы: 9 мая — День Победы над Германией и 3 сентября — День Победы над Японией. И победные медали две — на одной профиль Иосифа Сталина был обращен на запад, на другой — на восток.
Вопреки утверждениям японской пропаганды, СССР в 1945 году не «нападал на Японию», а освобождал оккупированные японской армией территории Китая и Кореи, а также ранее принадлежавшие Российской империи Южный Сахалин и Курильские острова. Нога советского, как и русского, солдата никогда не ступала на территорию собственно Японии. Поэтому война Советского Союза на стороне союзных держав против развязавшей вместе с нацистской Германией кровопролитную Вторую мировую войну милитаристской Японии была, безусловно, справедливой.
Однако в новой России так считают не все. Это проявилось в 1995 году, когда принимался федеральный закон «О днях воинской славы и памятных датах России». Тогда готовившие позорную сделку по сдаче Японии южно-курильских островов презрительно названный в народе «иностранный министр иностранных дел» А. Козырев и его «мидовские» клевреты «убедили» президента РФ Б. Ельцина, дабы не раздражать Токио напоминанием о позорной капитуляции, вычеркнуть День Победы над Японией.
Причём вычеркнуть не только из реестра дней воинской славы, но и из менее значимых памятных дней. Как будто блестящей победы советского солдата на Дальнем Востоке не было вовсе. И «первый всенародно избранный президент» с этим согласился.
Признавать «День Победы над Японией» российские власти не пожелали. Был придуман обходной манёвр, а именно выдуман новый, ранее не существовавший «День окончания Второй мировой войны (1945 год)». Федеральный закон о нововведении был подписан 23 июля 2010 года президентом РФ Д. Медведевым.
Тем не менее борьба за восстановление чести и достоинства советских воинов, разгромивших отказавшихся капитулировать даже после американских атомных бомбардировок японских городов японских милитаристов, не прекращалась. Но опасавшиеся «гнева» дальневосточной соседки, которая «позиционирует» ныне себя не виновником войны, а… её жертвой, российские властные структуры продолжали упорствовать.
При рассмотрении в очередной раз инициативы ряда депутатов Госдумы о праздновании Дня Победы над Японией тогдашний председатель комитета по образованию и науке, член президиума генерального совета партии «Единая Россия» В. Никонов изрек: «Если мы пойдем на принятие проекта о Дне Победы над Японией, тогда труды нашей дипломатии можно выбросить в урну… Японцы до сих пор на нас обижены страшно, что мы тогда им объявили войну…»
Смысл принятого Государственной Думой закона хорошо поняли в Японии. Но опубликовавшие сообщения японские СМИ делают упор на то, что решение российских парламентариев якобы продиктовано стремлением «отомстить» японцам за шквал незаконных и необоснованных антироссийских санкций и намерение Токио находить пути поставок киевскому режиму теперь уже и летального оружия.
В действительности это не единовременная «месть» за оголтелую русофобию нынешнего японского правительства во главе с американским вассалом Ф. Кисидой, а поддержанная нашим народом долговременная воспитательная акция, призванная помнить подвиги русского и советского солдата, в прямом смысле слова спасшего мир от нацизма, фашизма и милитаризма.
