Blogger’s Note: I found this brief explanation on a Mainland Chinese website discussing news:
26-10-19 07:33 Posted from Hunan Via Weibo Video:
‘A Black man urinated on a metro train in Kaohsiung, Taiwan Province, dropping his pants in front of a female passenger. According to the netizen who reported the incident, the metro train had already reached its final stop. Three foreign men remained fast asleep on board, so the netizen stepped forward to help wake them up. One of the men—a Black individual—woke up appearing visibly displeased (as if suffering from “waking-up irritability”) and stormed toward a row of seats. A female passenger was sitting there; the man then proceeded to drop his pants right next to her, exposing his genitals and urinatws in public.’
There then follows a number of disgruntled citizens complaining about this behaviour. Apparently, there is mention that the Mainland brings-in a small numbers of African people who attend universities and work in factories in Zhejiang. There is also talk of African people living in Ningbo – perhaps as tourists. The above behaviour is viewed as being highly disrespectful and inappropriate in China and attracts very strong reactions. Many are disgruntled that the Taiwan Authorities have not mentioned an arrest or deportation. Others speculate that this individual might be “American” (and not “African”) – and that the Taiwanese Authorities do not want to draw negative attention to themselves from the (mentally unstable) Trump II Administration (Taiwan is a US colony). Operator says apparent drunken behaviour prompted staff intervention and emergency cleaning
By KHT Staff
KAOHSIUNG — A foreign passenger filmed urinating onto seats inside a Kaohsiung MRT train has been issued a violation notice, with the operator attributing the incident to apparent drunken behaviour. TVBS and Liberty Times report that MRT staff intervened and issued a violation notice (告發單), but neither news report said police arrested him or took him into custody.
Footage posted on Threads showed a man urinating in front of an unoccupied seating area. Kaohsiung Rapid Transit Corp. (高雄捷運公司) said it immediately dispatched staff after receiving a passenger report, according to Liberty Times. His nationality was not disclosed.
WARNING: Threads video is graphic.
The operator said the passenger faces a fine of NT$1,500 to NT$7,500 under the Mass Rapid Transit Act (大眾捷運法) and could be banned from using the MRT. No final fine amount was announced. Staff completed emergency cleaning, with further cleaning and disinfection planned once the train was taken out of service.
