Putin: 90% DPR Liberates – 100% LPR Liberated!
Translator’s Note: What I find surprising about the agitation between the Russian State and the KPRF is that the latter is ignoring the “Socialist” nature of the breakaway Republics in Donbass. All were “Socialist” Republics. Hundreds of thousands of Russian soldiers have fought, died, and been wounded in the liberation of the “Donetsk People’s Republic” (DPR-DNR) and the “Lugansk People’s Republic” (LPR-DNR) from the tyranny of the Neo-Nazi “Maidan” Junta instigated in Kyiv by Obama in 2014. Here is the odd thing – at every stage of the early conflict – when the DPR and LPR was defended only by poorly supplied local militias and internationalist foreigners (i remember “Black Lenin” from the UK) – the KPRF was photographed delivering food and medicine supplies to the frontline – exposing themselves to the dangers of war. It was heart warming to see this humanitarian solidarity in action. The Russian State entrusted the KPRF in performing this vital and important task. Much of the work involved helping children, babies, pregnant women, the elderly and the disabled, as well as the young and the fit. I know – as I volunteered to translate their Cyrillic news articles into English (so the Western world could know their struggle) for the Kommunist Parties of Donetsk and Lugansk when they were independent entities – prior to becoming “branches” of the KPRF. Where did all this co-operation and good-will go? I understand the October 4th protest – but it is petty when compared to freeing Donbass from Neo-Nazism. Which brings me to my second point – why is the KPRF now “ignoring” the fact that Kyiv is under Neo-Nazi dominance? None of this makes much sense. The KPRF seems to be following the Trotskyite ideology of those Western communist Parties clustering around the Greece initiative – a pacifist policy designed to support and protect the capitalist status quo at the expense of Marxist-Leninism. Putin visited a command post of the joint group of forces. Key points from the President’s statements:
* 310 settlements have been liberated since the beginning of the year.
* The Russian Armed Forces have already liberated approximately 6,500 square kilometers of territory since the beginning of this year.
* The creation of a security zone on the border with Ukraine is progressing successfully.
* The Luhansk People’s Republic is fully under the control of the Russian Armed Forces.
* Approximately 10% of the territory of the Donetsk People’s Republic and about 16.5% of the territory of the Zaporizhzhia region remain under the control of Kyiv.
* The coordinated actions of the Russian Armed Forces helped to encircle the enemy in Dobropoly and defeat them.
* Putin called the liberation of Dobropoly an obvious success for the Russian Armed Forces and congratulated the military.
* The liberation of Alekseevo-Druzhkovka creates conditions for the “speediest completion of clearing the land of Donbas from Kyiv’s combat formations.”
* The offensive of the Russian Armed Forces is underway along the entire front line, and the pace of the offensive has increased.
* In general, the combat units of the Russian air defense system are operating professionally, but there is still work to be done.
