Blogger’s Note: Marx advises that we “question everything”. Many on the left assume that if impoverished (disadvantaged) individuals are granted a certain experience of what they lack – their character will develop and they will feel more enfranchised within the society they live (rather than being stuck on the bottom). In the 1970s in England, for instance, poor (White) people from housing estates were often sent on a holiday to the coast – paid for by Social Services. For many, this was the only holiday they had ever had – and they were grateful for an empowering experience. This approach, although hated by the right, can be effective. The USSR and China se it all the time. The poor are inspired to change their lives by taking advantage of the opportunities available (there were many more opportunities in the UK in the 1970s). Obviously, with the advent of neo-conservatism – this options have been removed. The poor stay poor and their psychological and physical health deteriorates. With a redistribution of wealth, the idea is that these pockets of poverty would be permanently relieved – as there is also a redistribution of opportunity. This is an expression of the inherent injustice that is capitalism. Now, there are highly ignorant and criminally-minded (poor) White people – but there are many more who are grateful for the help. In the above video a privileged Black woman – whose family are Chicago police officers (her father is a Police Commander), was brought-up in a highly privileged manner. She has wealth, healthcare, and access to the best educational facilities. She has never suffered from poverty in her life. She is living the American Dream. The video above is narrated by a Black man who is fair in his assessment. Apparently, on Interstate 94 (I-94) in Indiana the speed limit is 70mph – just like the speed limit on all UK motor-ways. This young lady was speeding at 105mph whilst gliding from one lane to the other without indicating. She is also drunk. Two fake IDs were found in her purse. Her behaviour is worse than the expected behaviour of a person bought-up in the roughest of areas – with no hope or help on the horizon. She thinks laws do not apply to her due to her family’s wealth and status. She threatens to kill the officer, his wife, their children – and then she will order “BLM” to burn down their neighbourhood. It is interesting that her behaviour is completely “unchanged” from that seen in the poorest Black areas where not all people living there behave in this way. How can this be? The narrative is usually that Black behaviour of this kind is the consequence of poverty and exclusion from society. I am sure that in many incidence this is true – but why is it that this woman (who has been given every advantage by her family – not the State) still behaves as if she was born into abject poverty? I have been around abit and I am impressed by the extent of the sheer anger and hatred seen here. I felt sorry for the Black sprinter – Sha’Carri Richardson – who was arrested for arguing with her boyfriend at an airport. She had a very modest upbringing and yet her success at sport allowed her to discipline her character and talk with police in a disciplined manner (the police were being pricks). Sha’Carri Richardsondid not behave like this in anyway. Of course, alcohol is present, and there might be some underlying health issue. I think that the fact that the case is over two-years old and remains unresolved is probably due to her family’s involvement with law enforcement. In other cases I have seen like this, the charges are either dropped or reduced to time served – as the profession looks after its own. ACW (5.9.2026)

On Saturday, a Chicago woman was arrested in Indiana after an encounter during a traffic stop turned aggressive. According to a FOX59 report, the incident occurred when an Indiana State Police trooper clocked a silver Hyundai speeding at 105 mph on Interstate 94, where the speed limit is 70 mph. The trooper attempted to perform a traffic stop, which escalated when the woman, identified as Shelby Foster of Chicago, bit the trooper.
Following her initial apprehension, Foster continued to display violent behavior. WISHTV detailed that she made threats of “serious violence” towards the arresting officer and his family. Claims also emerged that Foster had connections with several Chicago Police Officers. The situation intensified at the Porter County Jail where Foster refused a certified chemical test for intoxication and “spit on one of the jail officers during the booking process,” the statement reads.
Foster’s antagonism didn’t cease with her arrival at the jail. As noted by ABC7 Chicago, she not only bit the trooper but also repeatedly spit on a jail officer and hurled threats while being booked. The discovery of two fake Illinois ID cards in her purse further compounded the criminal charges Foster faces.
The charges levied against Foster are serious, including four felony charges — two counts of bodily waste fluid, intimidation, and battery against a public safety official — alongside six misdemeanors. These misdemeanors range from resisting law enforcement and reckless driving to multiple counts of driving while intoxicated and possession of false identification. Foster is currently being held to to account for her actions as the legal process unfolds.
