US history is often taught with glaring omissions, inverted thinking, and incorrect interpretations. Indeed, it is a form of brain-washing. Although the FIFA World Cup is being held in a country that has just committed War Crimes in Iran – and sponsored Israeli War Crimes in Gaza – the World Cup should not be held in North America or Canada for that matter. Canada has just as much blood on its hands – but more to the point – neither country is NOT a footballing country – end of story. FIFA is a disgusting French body – again – France is NOT a footballing country and the UK should withdraw from it. Most people n the US do not care about what they call “Soccer” – and have no idea the World Cup is being held there. If it was not for a few thousand foreigners in kilts blocking travel on roads and trains, etc, shouting the odd Celtic battle cry every so often – no American would know the World Cup was there at all. Football is irrelevant to the US because money cannot purchase a cultural ability to kick the ball. England invented football – and here it will stay. Two World Wars depleted the manhood of this small island – but oneday we will regain our genetic edge and dominate the world stage once again outside of FIFA. We will make “4-4-2” great again!
FIFA’s arbitrary rule change means that lesser sides cannot go through on goal-difference. It is now the “head-to-head” system where results not goal-difference decide the fate of a time. Two defeat mean a team is out regardless of how many goals the mght score in their third and final game. If that is the case, why play the third game at all? Why not just go home after the second game? I think FIFA is heading in this direction as a means to cull all the no-hopers that have been allowed into the World Cup with time around. We all know how it works – the system whittles-down all the competing sides to the most wealthiest Western Europeans – and Brazil (a shit-poor country with a good side). This is the ruthless capitalist nature of football – with Brazil bucking the trend (individual flare replaces infrastructure and material support). Anyway, the US news channels are being as hypocritical as ever – welcoming a few thousand morbidly obese Scotsmen in ill-fitting kilts – with some playing bagpipes and hitting drums. Most are wearing either new kilts or kilts they never usually wear. When I was in the Highlands of Scotland – I met the genuine Gaelic speakers who wore the tartan and spoke no English. They hate modernity and tend to shop in groups. The supermarket reserve special days for just Highlanders – they are that retiring. In one ASDA – the Highlanders arrived and departed by boat – with a special jetty built nearby.
In 1812, the US declared war on Great Britain in an attempt to invade Canada (British North America) and extend US territory. Obviously, the British Red Coats inflicted one defeat after another over the next three-years on the US Army – battles all fought on US territories. The British Army even burned-down the Whitehouse at one-point. However, a smalls Scots component of Highlanders fought their way into New Orleans unassisted or supported and in a beautiful splendour – marched into battle with a confident swagger – kilts a swaying and bagpipes a playing! Many Spanish, French and Native Americans wanted Florida and Louisiana to secede from the Union and become part of British Canada – and we would have been happy to have them! Arriving in Louisiana on December 23rd, 1814, the British Army was comprised of nearly 8,000 experienced soldiers – including 962 men from the 93rd (Sutherland) Highlanders. The battle plan to march up the Mississippi River and capture the city. The Scots knew a frontal assault was required and were completely unafraid and confident they would prevail over the ill-disciplined enemy. Although very well executed – in the end the front assault was disastrous as it came up against the American defensive earthworks at the Rodriguez Canal (Chalmette). The battle was fought on January 8th, 1815. Scotsmen could be heard falling upon their deflating bagpipes – making an eery noise. Many Scots fell into the kneeling position with their bayoneted musket dug into the ground at the stock-end with jutting blade at 45 degrees – held in place by their upright dead bodies. This was a tactic taught in infantry school to scare the enemy. As a true Scotsman wears nothing under his kilt – this surprised many US soldiers (Celts used to strip naked to fight the enemy). Finally, I am Irish on my Dad’s side (the Irish wear a different type of tartan) [Kilmurray] and Scottish on my mother’s side (Gibson).
