Sport Allows Cuba to Shine!

Cuba: Assessing the Cuban Challenge in the “Central American Games” – Wrestling, Boxing & Gold Prospects in an Uncertain World! (12.7.2026)

The bulk of the debate focused on boxing, wrestling, Judo and Taekwondo. In Boxing, with only seven men’s divisions (compared to twelve in golden times) and one women’s division still without the necessary strength, the hosts placed their hopes in names such as Alejandro Claro Fiss from Sancti Spiritus – bronze medallist in two world championships and third in the global ranking – Saidel Orta, Erislandy Álvarez and Julio César La Cruz. However, they warned that the former “flagship boxing” is no longer the same: the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Colombia and Venezuela have grown and will present very competitive squads. The forecast: four golds out of a possible seven would be an excellent performance, although not easy.

Ancient street in Guizhou retains red relics!

China: Ancient Street in Guizhou Retains Red Relics to Boost Local Tourism & Villagers’ income! (5.7.2026)

A friend once gifted me a beautiful hard-back book regarding the history of the Communist Party of China (CPC). It is a very colourful history full of sacrifice and hope! Furthermore, it is an elaborate history that propagates the future of humanity. I do not wish to dwell on Khrushchev’s (1956) betrayal of Joseph Stalin – or the ridicules Sino-Soviet Split (1956-1991). The workers are International and that is all there is to me. We cannot change the past – but at least we cannot dwell on it. Dialectical history ebbs and flows and that is all there is to it. Needless to say, in its early days, the CPC would liberate areas of rural China and create “Soviets” – or areas of “Free Workers”. Within these areas the peasants and workers would live freely under Marxist-Leninist reality, free of all the backward feudalism that had defined Chinese history up to that point. On occasion, particularly after 1928, the fascist forces of Chiang Kai-Shek would invade and brutally destroy these areas – forces the CPC and its followers to relocate. Mao Zedong was a guiding light in these days – but we must not lose sight of the many others (even if Mao Zedong happens to be your favourite). After the Soviet Red Army and Mongolian Red Army had entered and liberated North-East China (Manchuria) – this former Imperial Japanese area (together with all its developed industry and captured weaponry and ammunition) was given-over to the CPC (together with the captured Harry Puyi – the Last Emperor of China). This empowered the CPC tremendously (as an act of Proletariat solidarity) and permitted the liberation of the rest of China. Revolutionary history is like this. Of course, living in the West today is dangerous as the “freedom of thought” bequeathed to us by our Greek ancestors is very much at risk. Trump had two Chinese people imprisoned in the US for “sharing” the type of articles that I share with you all the time – which are readily available on the internet. What was their crime? a) being ethnically Chinese, b) caring about the truth, and c) daring to contradict US lies. It is that simple. This is what fascism looks like – and it has been elected into power in the US! We live in an age where a nefarious foreign country controls everything we say and do – and we are forced to compromise the truth. NO. The truth is the truth regardless of what happens to our material bodies. Many, many good people have been persecuted for the Cause. So be it – until there is no more capitalism to overthrow! Long Live the CPC! Thank you for the Covid-19 masks!

The CPC Building a Better Life for Disabled People!

China: Five-Year Plan Unveiled to Improve Services & Quality of Life for People with Disabilities! (3.7.2026)

According to the plan, China will further improve rehabilitation and care services for people with disabilities during the period. The coverage rate of basic rehabilitation services, which exceeded 85 percent during the past five years, will be raised by five percentage points.

The country will work to maintain that 95 percent of people with disabilities enjoy medical insurance and at least 97 percent of school-age disabled children receive compulsory education.

Statistics and data governance related to persons with disabilities will be a major priority in the coming five years. China plans to launch its third national sample survey on people with disabilities during the 2026-2030 period, updating national data for the first time since 2006.

The plan also calls for broader accessibility upgrades in public facilities, including hospitals, schools, banks, libraries, museums, theaters, sports venues and tourist attractions. Self-service terminals in sectors such as finance, healthcare and postal services will also enjoy barrier-free upgrades.

China will further promote the use of emerging technologies to support people with disabilities, including research in artificial intelligence, brain-computer interfaces and robotics, according to the plan.

The plan also encourages wider application of digital technologies such as big data, cloud computing and the Internet of Things in disability assistance services.

During National Service, he became a piper in the Cameron Highlanders.

Scotland: Tribute to Working-Class Hero – Mr Andy Anderson [1938-2026] – Former Cameron Highlander Piper! (2.7.2026)

In his book about the battle, he wrote: “We were not, as we first thought, just opposing a government. We were in fact opposing the whole mindset, which was itself a captive of international companies who were determined to use the Skye Bridge project as an experiment.”

Andy would become a key independence campaigner in the years that followed. After the referendum loss, he helped found the Scottish Currency Group, which continues to this day.

Three years ago, he founded the grassroots campaign Respect Scottish Sovereignty, which calls for decentralised direct democracy, allowing ordinary people to stand up for their rights against government authority.

Andy and Doreen moved to Saltcoats around a decade ago, before moving to their home next to Ardrossan Cemetery three years ago.

His daughter, Theresa Derbyshire, said: “He was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer a year ago and he survived a lot longer than anyone expected. My brother and his wife stay with them in house and the whole family looked after him.

“We are expecting a lot of people to come from all over to pay their respects at his funeral later this month. ”

Andy’s funeral service will be held at 2.30pm on July 27 at the Holmsford Bridge Crematorium in Dreghorn.

Was Stonehenge the Epi-Centre of Hyperborea?

Email: Was Stonehenge the Epicentre of “Hyperborea”? (30.6.2026)

However, I think the Druids may well be pre-Celtic – and yet still existed in Britain when the Romans arrived – living quite happily amongst the Celts. Indeed, the two cultures – the “Druid” and the “Celtic” appear to have peacefully co-existed and nourished one another. Whereas the Druids and Celts viewed the Romans as being “foreign” and “incompatible” – these two cultures viewed one another as mutually reinforcing. Greek explorers probably reached the British Isles a long time ago – when its weather was humid (even tropical), the population small, and the food plentiful. Stonehenge was built around 3000 BCE – so everything was inn-place for an idyllic interpretation and the construction in the Greek imagination of the a mythically “perfect” place. The Greek words “ὑπέρ Βορέᾱ” – can be translated as “Hyper” (“Beyond”) “Borea” (the “North”) – or perhaps “Over the Northern-Sea”.

Scots on the March - US 1815

US: The Tartan Army Marched in Boston – Remember the Highlanders Who Marched in New Orleans! (21.6.2026)

Many Spanish, French and Native Americans wanted Florida and Louisiana to secede from the Union and become part of British Canada – and we would have been happy to have them! Arriving in Louisiana on December 23rd, 1814, the British Army was comprised of nearly 8,000 experienced soldiers – including 962 men from the 93rd (Sutherland) Highlanders. The battle plan to march up the Mississippi River and capture the city. The Scots knew a frontal assault was required and were completely unafraid and confident they would prevail over the ill-disciplined enemy. Although very well executed – in the end the front assault was disastrous as it came up against the American defensive earthworks at the Rodriguez Canal (Chalmette). Scotmen could be heard falling upon their deflating bagpipes – making an eery noise. Many Scots fell into the kneeling position with their bayoneted musket dug into the ground at the stock-end with jutting blade at 45 degrees – held in place by their upright dead bodies. This was a tactic taught in infantry school to scare the enemy. As a true Scotsman wears nothing under his kilt – this surprised many US soldiers (Celts used to strip naked to fight the enemy). Finally, I am Irish on my Dad’s side (the Irish wear a different type of tartan) [Kilmurray] and Scottish on my mother’s side (Gibson).
