UK: Why Museum’s Last Mummy Has Been Taken-Off Display! (14.9.2026)

When I was in Egypt during the mid-1990s, I found the local Egyptians would allow virtually anything just as long as you gave them money. In airports that served Westerners – the toilets would have no toilet-paper. Egyptian “attendants” would discreetly wait until a Westerner locked the door of a convenience and then knock on the door and offer sheets of toilet paper delivered under the door for a specified amount (usually Egyptian pound notes). This is the level of cheapness we are dealing with. Virtually anything was for sale in Islamic Egypt as the Arabs who control the country now have nothing to do with pyramid-building or the Pharaohs. We saw mummy after mummy on display as we traversed around (Egypt remains the only country where I was questioned by the Airport Authorities – and asked to explain “why” I was in a “mixed-ethnicity” marriage). Knowing what I know about the shallowness of contemporary Egyptian culture – I find the pretentious bourgeois attitude relayed below to be bordering on the laughable. Why would modern Egyptians care about the remains of a different ethnic group, whose religion they do not follow or care about? Muslims over the recent centuries have damaged the pyramids they now exploit to a remarkable degree. It is funny the BBC does mention this aspect.

UK: Epsom’s Horton Chapel! (13.9.2026)

Furthermore, I cannot find any pictures online. I think most people are unaware that a) this object exists, or b) the general public are permitted into this “entrance” area of a private members club – providing they do not attempt to pass through the barriers. Either way, there used to be five psychiatric hospitals in the Epsom area (known as the “Cluster”) – which suggests that many more maladies were once considered “mental illness” – even women demanding to vote or have a say. Working-class people “getting ill” so that their labour can no longer be exploited was also considered “psychotic” between earlier and middle part of its history (it existed between 1902-1997). One such unfortunate was a former wrestler who drive an ambulance during the Nazi German bombing of London. He was wounded by shrapnel in the neck – and he was placed in the psychiatric hospital – where he wasted away. He was a British Jewish person surnamed “Solomon” – who is buried in Horton Cemetery.

Cast-Iron Fence - Horton Cemetery!

UK: Epsom’s Victorian Horton Cemetery! (13.9.2026)

Of course, the local area is now covered in roads and domestic and commercial buildings, with only smaller sections visible. These areas are more or less wild and uneven. We know this because we walked along about half a mile of what was one of the boundaries of the graveyard – before entering a relatively small area of the graveyard proper which still retained its cast-iron fence. Placed along the adjacent wooden fence – there were the biographies of the deceased that local historians had respectfully researched. The walking was rough-going due to the uneven terrain – which is not suitable for the inform. Efforts are ongoing to do something about the state of the place through raising awareness and funds. This pace was about a mile or so up the road from Horton Chapel – which was our next port of call.

Iran: IRGC Navy Captures US [Unmanned] “Saildrone Explorer” Submarine! (11.9.2026)

The US has become trapped in a game it cannot win without drastically changing the battlefield – which it seems unable to do. Iran has achieved this impasse through sound (material) thinking and planning. It is not because of any divine assistance or godly help. It is a further irony that many commentators in the Middle East believe that this meticulous planning and preparation on the material plane just manifested “out-of-nothing”. It “just appeared” – which of course it did not. It was exactly because of a sound material approach to reality that Iran has achieved (so far) what it has. Of course, as a person of mature years, I do not view a “flying drone” to be an “enemy aeroplane” – or a “submergible drone” to be a legitimate “submarine”. Genuine “Submarines” are what my (maternal) grandfather defended against during WWII (Nazi German U-Boats). I have found footage of this US Submarine apparently reported “captured” in the Western media. It is true, the Iranians have captured a submergible US drone termed a “submarine” – attempting to enter the Iranian controlled Straits of Hurmuz. This is yet another military and media humiliation for the US. This is a product of sound material analysis and planning.

France: Investigation After Female Staff at Eiffel Tower Replaced By “Men” for Religious Visit! (9.9.2026)

Yes – I have visited Paris with my Chinese family members, my mixed ethnicity children, and their family and friends – but this does not necessarily mean that an intolerant attitude should be encountered due to me engaging “difference”. I did expect more from France simply on account of its Socialist Revolution and its great thinkers. Once, when crossing a road in a French suburb – a car stopped and about four young skin-heads got out pointing at me and my Chinese partner – shouting in French. They only left when other French drivers stopped and started shouting at them. I have a number of such stories (French students once blocked my exit from a left-bank cafe – but they were ordered by the owner to move out the way). Following the 1789 Revolution – the Catholic Church was abolished and all religion uprooted. Napoleon did allow a limited form of religion providing the Church remained subordinate to the State. And here we are. The “Bochasanwasi Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha (BAPS)” has been accused of sexual abuse of children, false imprisonment, and trafficking,, etc. Whilst France “bans” Islamic dress – the French Establishment bends over backwards to accommodate a bizarre Hindu cult and its sexist attitudes.

The Mind Must Be Calm and Serene!

BMA-UK: Buddhist Practice of “Accepting” & “Rejecting” Food Donations – The Politics of the Buddha’s Begging Bowl! (8.9.2026)

Rules in the Dhammic-sense serve only as basic guides toward moral-behaviour – hence the obvious latitude found in the night-life of places such as Thailand. Obviously, a lay-Buddhist is free to follow whatever path they perceive is correct for themselves and the circumstances they inhabit – after-all – it is their karma-producing habit. One issue is not to inflict suffering on others – including animals (this is why my family will never hurt animals in anyway). Hunger striking, in this sense, only physically “hurts” the individual participating in it – although a case can be made that those watching or caring “from afar” might suffer emotional pain. Of course, in the poor parts of Asia, Buddhist monastics exist whilst eating every other day – as the laity is so poor they have very little to share – but what an effort they make! Although starving themselves, the Buddhist laity will put aside a small amount for the Buddhist monastics. I was told that in the Northern forests of Thailand food is so scarce that Buddhist monastics often sieve a type of algae out of the local rivers – using their begging bowls – and share this to eat.
