On Monday, June 1, 2026, Ahmed Ghanoumi, a member of the leadership of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine in Lebanon, led a delegation from the Front’s leadership in the Beddawi area to the Fatah movement’s office in the North. He met with Khaled Abboud, Secretary of the Fatah movement in the North, in the presence of the National Security Commander in the North, Lieutenant Colonel Abu Mustafa Al-Ashqar, and members of the leadership.
The delegation began by conveying the Front’s congratulations on the success of the Eighth General Conference of the Fatah Movement and on the occasion of Eid al-Adha. Then the attendees held a discussion about the conditions our people are living in in the camps in light of the war being waged against Lebanon and its south, especially our people’s camps in the south and the massive displacement to the northern region. Both sides praised the important role played by the popular committees in the northern region in terms of caring for and supporting our displaced people, especially the communication with international and local institutions that contributed to alleviating their suffering.
Both parties agreed on the importance of activating joint action to strengthen the situation in the camps, prevent strife, and emphasize that our national cause needs to strengthen internal unity and solidarity among all forces that support justice, lift injustice, and uphold the right of return for the Palestinian people to their homeland, Palestine.

الجبهة الشعبية تلتقي حركة فتح في الشمال
المكتب الاعلامي للجبهة الشعبية لتحرير فلسطين – لبنان .
زار عضو قيادة الجبهة الشعبية لتحرير فلسطين في لبنان احمد غنومي على رأس وفد من قيادة الجبهة في منطقة البداوي مكتب حركة فتح في الشمال وذلك اليوم الاثنين في ١ حزيران ٢٠٢٦ والتقى أمين سر حركة فتح في الشمال خالد عبود بحضور قائد الأمن الوطني في الشمال المقدم أبو مصطفى ألأشقر وأعضاء القيادة .
بداية نقل وفد تهنئة الجبهة بنجاح أعمال المؤتمر العام الثامن لحركة فتح وبمناسبة عيد الأضحى المبارك ثم أجرى المجتمعون جولة نقاش حول الأوضاع التي يعيشها أهلنا في المخيمات في ظل الحرب التي تشن ضد لبنان وجنوبه ولا سيما مخيمات شعبنا في الجنوب وحالة النزوح الكثيفة الى منطقة الشمال ، وأثنى الجانبان على الدور الهام الذي تقوم به اللجان الشعبية في منطقة ألشمال لجهة رعاية ودعم أهلنا النازحين وخصوصا التواصل مع المؤسسات الدولية والمحلية التي ساهمت في تخفيف معاناتهم .
واتفق الطرفان على أهمية تفعيل العمل المشترك من أجل تحصين وضع المخيمات ودرء الفتن والتأكيد أن قضيتنا الوطنية تحتاج لتعزيز الوحدة الداخلية وتضامن كل القوى المؤيدة للعدل ورفع الظلم ولحق العودة للشعب الفلسطيني الى وطنه فلسطين .
