Iran: How the IRRG Edits History to Support “Inverted” Theology! (20.3.2026)

The Iraq-Iran War (1980-1988) Cost Over a Million Lives and was Directed By the US & Israael!

The following (below) statement was published on the Telegram page of The Cradle (20.3.2026 – 0222hrs) – and is attributed to Iran’s “Islamic Revolutionary Republican Guard” (IRRG). There have been many such IRRG statements since the US and Israel illegally attacked Iran – all designed to counter the Trump-Zionist propaganda being pumped-out. The US, in every war it has ever pursued, uses “lying” as a bulwark for all its activities (this was also an important cornerstone of Adolf Hitler’s ideology). Racism comes a close second – with Zionism pursuing both these attributes to an even higher degree of deception. When the US ran from the battlefield of Afghanistan in 2021 – the US Establishment presented this action as a victory – rather than a US defeat against an impoverished (religiously motivated) peasant-enemy that took 20-years to realise. This simple example demonstrates what we are up against – so I certainly do not begrudge (or belittle) any attempts by Iran to project the other side of the conflict (the problem is that the US aligns “winning” with being “right” – so whatever is said before victory is declared is simply viewed as a means to an end – and in and of itself does not matter). What concerns me about this Iranian statement is this paragraph:

‘We move toward the battlefield. We have tested the battlefield for years—more than eight years in which we powerfully defeated a hard-hearted tyrant like Saddam. The fate of Saddam awaits the criminal Trump and Netanyahu. For us, entering the battlefield is not defeat. God has closed the path of defeat to us.’

This is ahistorical and anti-intellectual. An entire swathe of US-Israeli imperialist history is omitted. Saddam Hussein’s regime grew out of the Ba’ath Party – a form of Arab Secular Socialism parallel to Marxist-Leninism – but adjusted to Islamic religious sensitives (the “private” religious matter was primarily Islamic rather than Christian or Jewish). It could be said to represent “Socialism with Arab characteristics”. This is why the USSR invested heavily in building Iraq’s military infrastructure in the region throughout the 1960s and 1970s. However, following the “Islamic Revolution” in Iran in 1979 – the political climate changed. Whereas the USSR was prepared to work with an overtly religious (left-leaning) Iran – the US and Israel were not – as the rhetoric of Iran was pro-Palestinian and anti-Zionist (this mirrored the USSR’s approach). To combat this perceived threat to Israel – the US suddenly unleashed a charm offensive toward Iraq and provided it with billions of dollars of aid and military hardware – if only the Iraqi people were coerced by their government to go to war with Iran.

The resulting Iraq-Iran War (1980-1988) was an utter disaster for both sides, led to a combined death toll of around 1 million dead with many more wounded. It was devised of trench warfare of the worst kind and akin to WWI. Neither side won – but both claimed victory. The conflict ironically strengthened the Iranian regime and weakened the Iraqi regime – with the US and Israeli deciding that Iraq’s Secular Socialism was now the biggest threat to the existence of Zionism. Iraq was then manoeuvred into one disastrous decision after another by the US-Zionist axis – which eventually led to Saddam Hussein being hanged on TV – with millions dancing on the streets of Tehran. This attotude demonstrates the very real differences that exist between Secular Socialism and the left-leaning Socialism found within Islam. The former is Marxist-Leninist – the latter is Qur’an-based – and herein lies the problem of Secular Socialists supporting the pro-Palestinian lobby without fully thinking it all through – or qualifying that support. Opposing Zionist-fascism should not be taken as supporting a religiously-motivated leftism – which is shot-through with its own inherent problems.

This IRRG statement excises an entire episode of material history regarding Saddam Hussein – missing-out the fact that it was the US and Israel that urged him to attack Iran, that gave him the money and arms to do so, and politically supported him when he was doing it. The IRRG statement, in an attempt to maintain its anti-intellectual (theological) position – then omits completely that once the US and Israel were finished with exploiting Iraq – they overthrew its Socialist regime and executed its leaders (including Judges) in the most brutal of fashions – the body of one Judge detached from its head as it fell through the trap-door) – all actions that Iran supported. Has this IRRG statement omitted these facts because they are inconvenient – and in fact embody the exact blue-print now being played-out by the US and Israel against Iran at this exact moment? I very much suspect that it is:

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Statement:

“The sudden retreat of the US aircraft carrier Gerald R. Ford from the battlefield and its failure to support the tired and defeated American troops in West Asia has proven the illusory nature of the material power of the arrogant powers and is an interpretation of the noble verse: ‘Indeed, the plot of Satan is weak.’

The dispatch of this carrier to the region, accompanied by noise and extensive propaganda from US military officials and Western media, and its questionable withdrawal at the height of the war—while arrogant US military officials remain silent—cannot conceal the reality of the desperate and humiliating situation of the American and Zionist warmongers.

What kind of military giant is this that, with the occurrence of a fire in its laundry section, falls into crisis and is forced to leave the battlefield?

The change in the course of this carrier toward a US base and the attempt to avoid passing through the Bab al-Mandab Strait has raised this question for global and regional public opinion: why should a $13 billion US warship fear a few small, fast boats of the resistance forces worth only a few thousand dollars?

Although such a fragile and unstable condition has also, in recent days, occurred for another US carrier, the Abraham Lincoln, in the Indian Ocean.

Why does the lying US president—who claims he has destroyed the naval force of the Islamic Republic of Iran—not issue the order for US carriers to move toward the Sea of Oman and the Red Sea?

The soldiers of Islam, eager to see and deliver a heavy slap to the US carrier deep in the battlefield, are waiting and are fully prepared to present naval surprises to American marines.

We move toward the battlefield. We have tested the battlefield for years—more than eight years in which we powerfully defeated a hard-hearted tyrant like Saddam. The fate of Saddam awaits the criminal Trump and Netanyahu. For us, entering the battlefield is not defeat. God has closed the path of defeat to us.

‘Say: Do you await for us except one of the two best outcomes?’

What more than two paths do you see before us? Both are honorable: one is martyrdom, whose honor is eternal and everlasting, and the other is victory—and both are victory for us.”
