Author’s Note: Galloway is currently stating that the current Home Secretary – “Shabana Mahmood” – was once a “student of his”. Of course, I do not know if this is true – but Galloway has said this more than once live on-air. At one-point he claimed “she could not speak English” when she arrived in this country (?) and that he taught her English. Really? Galloway’s wife keeps an X account (in English) where she continuously writes homophobic and trans-phobic comments – despite these views being illegal in her native Holland – but a legal grey-area in the UK. If she made these comments in the Dutch language (she is careful not to do so) – her Dutch University would be obliged to take take legal action. Even at a press conference in Northern Ireland – his wife still managed to make a trans-phobic comment. Galloway still holds to the line that his fascism is leftism – and the British State’s opposition to it is “fascism”. Through the looking glass indeed! ACW (30.9.2025)
A good question. Galloway justifies his racism, homophobia, and trans-phobia – along with rejecting independence for Scotland and Northern Ireland – on the grounds that he has abandoned his Socialist viewpoint and adopted “social conservativism” as his main political motivation. This comes in the wake of allegations (made by British Muslims in the media) that Galloway has converted to Islam. Galloway refused to support the “LEXIT” (Left-Exit EU) campaign – and instead chose to sidled-up to the right-wing and far-right “Grass-Roots” Forum – which included his new chum “Nigel Farage”. Whilst Farage continuously espouses racist viewpoints, and his supporters are exposed as belonging to the far-right (even initiating racist attacks on non-Whites and the vulnerable) – Galloway would be an apologist that Farage – stating that “he is not a racist”. Of course, this great love-in came to an end when the British State (and its media) wheeled-out Farage yet again for one more attempt at seizing power through uniting the right. This was when Farage described Galloway as being a “disruptive and disgusting figure who is only out to feather his own nest” on live TV! Since that faux pas – Galloway has stopped mentioning his “great friend” Nigel Farage – “who is not a racist”.
This does not stop the Galloway bandwagon from rolling-on. When he lost the Rochdale election – Galloway did not possess the courage to turn-up at his own defeat and congratulate the winner – who won by around 20,000 votes (a virtual unknown had taken the seat). Many felt disgusted and betrayed by Galloway’s short sojourn as the Rochdale MP – for reasons that would just be kicking a ball into an open goal – but I suspect every reader can guess what that might be. But this is how we arrive at the epicentre of this hypocritical affair. As a “social conservative” – George Galloway should be supporting the British Police whilst going about their duties – just as he supports Scott Ritter who admitted participating in a War Crime during the First Gulf War, live on his YouTube podcast. Indeed, many of the so-called “guests” appearing on MOATS do the interview circuit usually appearing on right-wing shows supporting the State and opposing the left. For most, a form of “National Socialism” is the preferred mode of moderating a society – hence their support for Trump.
Galloway’s only slither of remaining leftism has been his support for the Palestinians – but when he was accused of being a “White Messiah” by an Arab during a heated debate – Galloway decided to distance himself from Gaza live on air. Until he deletes this – it is clear for all to see. Like an old boxer lamenting his unsuccessful life – Galloway spat “I could have been a contender” If only he had not wasted his time supporting these ungrateful people (many of these online pro-Gaza Muslims were supporting the overthrow of Socialism in Syria – just one of the many pitfalls surrounding this issue). Galloway’s anti-Black racism is legend and I cannot list it all here. Of course, probably about 20-years ago (just after he wore a tracksuit with the word “Cuba” on the front during a stint on Channel 4’s Big Brother) – his viewpoints started to alarmingly lurch to the right. What we see today is many drawn to Galloway’s left-wing past – only to find this new incarnation is (allegedly) a racist bigot admired by many on the right!
