Translator’s Note: The illiterate degenerates on the British far-right are falsely equating the incumbent Labour Party plans to re-introduce the previously failed Blairite dream of a digital ID card scheme – with the Social Credit Score System currently active in China. Yet again, this is an exercise (by the far-right) in the use of the principle of “false equivalence” – to propagate a paranoid delusion that possesses no basis in the real world. The international capitalist system wants to abolish cash – and remove the unregulated freedom that material money (in the hand) represents.
Cash, by and large, cannot be traced in relatively small, everyday amounts. By taking away this freedom, those who control capitalist society can limit all citizens to digital money on a screen. Every purchase (and every donation) can be seen, moderated, recorded, encouraged, or blocked, etc, by third parties an individual can never see – or directly communicate with. As the China Central Bank is not part of the international banking system – and is not controlled by the capitalists – the Social Credit Score System currently active within China exists to counter the “dishonesty” that the accumulation of profit has propagated within the interior of that thriving (Socialist) country.
Dishonesty is part of the capitalist system and has no place within the comradeship and mutual assistance that a Socialist society is built upon. Debt for debt’s sake is not required in a Socialist country that lifts-up all its citizens through various mechanism of wealth re-distribution. Labour’s ID scheme is designed to prevent wealth from being re-distributed – hence its function of supporting capitalist control of society! China’s Social Credit Score System is basically similar to the credit card-rating system that has operated in the Western banking world for decades (ensuring maximum exploitation) – albeit altered to encourage Socialist attitudes of sharing and honesty (and reduce exploitation caused by dishonesty). Does China really possess a “social credit” score? Have you heard of “social credit” in China? Some people may associate it with the brutal (capitalist) kind of financial control seen in American movies, where low credit scores lead to penalties and persecution – but there is actually no such system within Socialist China! In China, there is indeed a credit scoring system – but it is not controlled by the Western international banking system and remains entirely outside of it.
If debts are not paid on time, it may affect some activities such as being unable to take out larger loans or enjoy luxury travel – but these things are not required for a good quality normal life – which Socialism guarantees. However, you can still use public transportation, such as buses and regular trains – but there is no ongoing punishment – as only luxury items are limited.
Conversely, if credit cards and mortgages are consistently paid off on time, then social creditworthiness increases, making it easier to get loans. This creditworthiness is also reflected upon second-hand trading platforms, helping to reduce fraud and protect customers. Banks assess creditworthiness based upon employment history, education, and financial status, but PRC banks are not permitted by law to penalize a citizen for a low credit score (there are many mechanisms within the Socialist System designed to relieve poverty).
A self-imposed poor reputation can be rectified by paying off loans on time. Furthermore, small businesses generally do not care about credit scores. Even if there is a low credit score – or poor credit standing – debts can be paid off by hard work through earning money. The Socialist System lifts up the masses and crushes those who oppress. The development and maintaining of honesty between individuals and throughout society is the purpose of the Chinese social credit scoring system – it is not a mechanism for hidden oppression or covert State manipulation.
