Iraqi Soldiers Attack Iranian Positions - for the US!

Notes On Socialism in the Middle East! (3.1.2024)

Saddam Hussain controlled an Iraq under the secular Socialist Ba’ath Party. During the 1960s, the USSR built Iraq’s armed forces and made Iraq a regional superpower (within reason and context). However, during the 1980s, Saddam went down the road of collaborating with the US – because the US promised Iraq modern weaponry (to a limited degree) – in return for Iraq attacking the newly liberated Iran (the 1980-1988 Iran-Iraq War). Given that Iran and Iraq were both “Socislist” – why did Iraq attack Iran?

Firstly, everything that happens in the Middle East since 1947 has been for the benefit of Israel – with this policy being reliant upon stopping, ending, and preventing any expressions or manifestations of Arab-Persian “Solidarity”. This policy is achieved through Israel controlling the Collective West (through International Zionism) – and Middle East being continuously de-stabilised by the presence of an overwhelmingly  aggressive Iarael. The reality was that Iraq was secular (Marxist-Leninist) “Socialist” – whilst Iran was religious “Socialist” (with Iranian Socialism stemming from the Holy Qur’an – and not the Communist Manifesto).

This being the case, and given that Islam is openly antagonistic to the Jews for theological reasons – the Zionists viewed the geographically nearer Iran as being a greater barrier to Zionist expansionism in the region – than the further away Iraq. Whereas Iran possessed a far broader (religious) attraction to the Palestinian people – Ba’athist Iraq only really appealed to the minority Fatah movement. This assessment proved correct when the Palestinian people elected Hamas whilst more or less side lining Fatah – meaning that Palestine is motivated more by a left-leaning religiosity rather than a far-left secularism.

Having said that, I have also seen a continuous rightwing and far-right element of religiosity at work in Palestine (sometimes aligning with Neo-Nazism). This is not surprising given Palestine’s pre-1947 history and the British dominance of the area post-1917. The British Army fought both Arab and Zionist agitators in the region right-up until 1947 – with Hitler backing and supporting both the Arabs and the Zionist post-1933 for varying lengths of time (as an “anti-British” policy). On occasion, Arab Palestinians celebrate various supposed “victories” their fighters achieved over British Forces – usually in or around 1936. Remember, even the USSR initially supported the formation of “Israel” in 1947 (the “Partition of Israel” through the UN – befoee realising this policy was a mistake).

From the Israeli murder of a UN Ambassador in 1948 until the present time, the Marxist-Leninist left has continuously supported the Palestinian cause. Joseph Stalin broke-off all diplomatic relations with Zionist Israel in 1952 – with the Trotskyite Khrushchev reinstating them in 1956. However, the USSR broke-off all diplomatic relations in 1967 (under Leonid Brezhnev) and retained this position until 1991 (as an anti-imperialist stance) – recognising modern Israel to be a “White” neo-imperialist, neo-colonialist adventure.

Since 1979, Iran has armed and funded the highly effective Hezbollah movement operating out of South Lebanon. This is an expert organisation in fighting an ongoing guerilla war. Donald Trump had the above Iranian General murdered because he was the mastermind behind the Iranian, Lebanese and Palestinian opposition to Zionist Israel and US Neo-Imperialism in the region. Trump killed him for Tel Aviv.

Interestingly, the West turned on Saddam Hussain with the collapse of the USSR in 1991 – when it was clear he was of no further use to Washington and that the Kremlin would not come to his aid – at any time after that date. The US would blame Saddam for the 911 New York Terror Attacks, invade and destroy his country, and then hang him on TV in 2006. Meanwhile, Iran did half-heartedly “tolerate” a secular (Ba’athist) Syria on the grounds that President Assad supported both Palestine and Hezbollah, whilst allowing arms and supplies to traverse through Syrian territory to the frontlines with Israel.

As events have shown, when push came to shove, Iran (along with Russia) was quite happy to throw Ba’athist (secular) Syria under the bus and permit its takeover by ISIS. All this subterfuge has its origins in the deluded mindset of religiosity. These people literally believe that despite the negative weight of material conditions – those who believe in a disembodied sky-spirit will eventually (and magically) achieve a completely unexpected victory against all the odds. I once wrote that even if Palestine eventually prevailed against the Zionist Juggernaut – we would still be left with the religious problem of militant Islam (conditioned by decades of resistance to Zionist-fascism).

The Zionist Jews take a different approach, as they understand that a belief in god is one thing, whilst massive material force is another. The Zionists are more practical in their approach to committing genocide and stealing land – as they understand that a belief in God AND massive material resources are both equally required to permanently change things in the material world. Even Hitler believed a hidden spiritual force would manifest on the material plane to save his beleaguered forces as the Soviet Red Army closed in on his Berlin HQ in 1944!
