CPC Crackdown on False News!

China: Crackdown Launched on Illegal Online News Services! (5.10.2024)

Blogger’s Note: The Socialist Revolution in China is one of the great treasures of humankind! Yes – the Revolution has developed according to the dialectics of the time – and it has been very successful not only in ideological terms, but also in terms of material construction and adaptation. I take a broader Marx-Engels view which contextualises my Marxist-Leninist (Maoist) analysis. China is on the Shining Path to Socialism! I would say that it will soon transcend the USSR due to the fact that it has handled (and rejected) Trotskyism far more effectively, and countered the aggressive ignorance and anti-intellectualism of the US – and the collective (NATO) West it controls! The US colonies of Taiwan, Japan, South Korea and the Philippines continue to be problematic to the PRC – as do disloyal Mainland Chinese (a small minority) and a certain strand of diasporic Chinese. The Western internet is controlled by the US and pumps US brainwashing into the minds of all the children that access in the West, Africa, and Asia.

This is a bourgeois mind-control experiment that aims to ensure the survival of predatory capitalism in the world. This is why the PRC is right to “ban” the US-controlled internet in the China – and what accessible is carefully monitored and controlled as a means to protect the Proletarian Revolution! What still needs to be controlled is the “enemy within” – or that element of the Chinese population that knowingly (or unknowingly) works for the enemy of the Revolution. This crackdown will take-on this detachment of Americanisation that has seeped into the PRC and firmly reform all those who have been led astray. After-all, there is a far greater freedom of speech in the PRC than currently operating in the West. For instance, WordPress threatened to delete my blog recently – after I correctly reported about the latest bombing of a school in Gaza by the IDF! WordPress thought it would get me on “fake news” – until they checked my sources and found what I had reported was correct. If the truth is told – there is nothing to fear! ACW (5.10.2024)

China’s top cyberspace watchdog on Thursday announced a three-month campaign to crack down on illegal online news services, including those that actively spread disinformation.

According to a release on the official website of the Office of the Central Cyberspace Affairs Commission, the campaign aims to further regulate internet news service activities, enhance the influence of “mainstream news and public opinion”, and create a “clean cyberspace”.

The campaign will target a number of issues such as the fabrication and dissemination of false and misleading news, and the use of exaggerated headlines that are seriously inconsistent with the content.

Malicious alteration, distortion and forgery of news aimed at intentionally misleading the public will also be targeted.

A particular focus of the campaign will be on the practice of news content creators and media outlets that use the threat of publishing fake news as a form of blackmail for financial gain.

According to the release, the impersonation of news websites, newspapers, radio and television stations to illegally register accounts, set up websites and publish information will also be cracked down upon.

The release said the campaign will make sure that those posting news content online have the necessary licenses for internet news collection and publication services.

It added that the forgery, sale, leasing, lending, or transfer of internet news service licenses will also be investigated.

Departments of cyberspace affairs at various levels should guide website platforms to establish dedicated “news accounts” and require the verification of licenses or qualifications as a prerequisite for setting up such accounts, the release added.

All online channels providing internet news services to the public, including website platforms, social media, applications and livestreams, should prominently display the entity’s name and license number in approved channels, according to the release.

For websites and content platforms, they will be required to optimize their algorithm models and information recommendation mechanisms, with a priority given to high-quality news information published by “news accounts”.

The campaign will expand channels for complaints and reports, actively handle and verify clues related to illegal activities, and publicly expose typical cases, the release said.
