Imperial Japanese Army Troops Form-Up - Okinawa!

Book Review: Battle for Okinawa – By Colonel Yahara Hiromichi [八原博通]! (6.8.2024)

Any history that arises from the post-1945 (Cold War) US perspective must be assumed to be riddled with anti-intellectualism, racism, and inverted understanding. This is because such history is designed to serve as only a partly true story (falsely presented as “correct”) – designed to brainwash a passive audience into thinking in an anti-Socialist and pro-White (American) perspective. For instance, all of this nonsense can be seen in the description on the book-cover which reads “A Japanese Officer’s Eyewitnesses Account of the Last Great Campaign of World War II!” This is incorrect. The Battle for Okinawa was fought between April 1st 1945 – June 22nd, 1945. Japanese casualties = 110,000 (dead and wounded) – US casualties = 84,000 (dead and wounded. Okinawan Civilians = 150.000 (dead). According to Chinese Language sources (linked above) – Yahara Hiromichi was considered a “US Expert” who understood the American mind and could second guess American planning and behaviour. This was his key skill as an Intelligence Officer. As he showed no interest in becoming “American” or embracing US capitalism – the US feared he might defect to the USSR or China – and so the US Authorities in Japan kept Yahara under arrest for 30 years after the war. By the time he released – he was considered too old to change his lifestyle. If the Japanese High Command had followed Yahara’s advice – the Americans may well had been halted on Okinawa!

Colonel Yahara Hiromichi (1902-1981)

Falsely perceiving this battle as the last of the Pacific War (1941-1945) – is a US lie designed to deprive the Soviet Union of the respect it deserves for its victory quickly achieved in China against an Imperial Japanese Army that had defied the US Army every step of the way. The Soviet-Japanese War was later fought between August 8th – September 2nd, 1945 – following a US request that the Soviet Red Army should be used to defeat the Japanese still occupying large swathes of Chinese land. Japanese losses = 84,000 killed, 20,000 wound (640,000 taken as POWs) – Soviet & Mongolian losses = 24,000 killed, 20,000. The Japanese used “Kamikaze” attacks in both theatres.

Yahara Hiromichi [八原博通] (1902-1981) was one of only two Staff Officers to have fought-in – and survived the Battle of Okinawa. The Okinawan people are routinely described as a “lesser race” (due to their “Chinese” ancestry) – who cannot speak the Japanese language properly – despite their mixture of Japanese and Chinese culture. Yahara was stationed in Naha – but moved around the local area – including visiting Shuri – two ancient areas of Okinawa linked to the development of both “Te” and “Kara-Te” martial arts (the latter possessing Southern Chinese [Fujian] gongfu influence). His account, as an Imperial Japanese Army Intelligence Officer, was written in 1972 (in Japanese script) and the details have been checked by a US Army Intelligence Officer Frank B. Gibney (who also fought in Okinawa) – for the English version which appears relatively recent (the Dreamscape Edition featured above was published on May 5th, 2020).

Imperial Japanese Army Intelligence Officers Plan to Combat the US!

Yahara explains that Japanese soldiers were routinely beaten by their NCOs and Officers – as were lesser Officers by superior Officers. Indeed, the beatings were highly ritualised and had to be delivered properly. This sense of “Spirit” was kept up through bayonet charges – where the soldiers were deliberately deprived of ammunition so as to encourage the proper use of the bayonet blade and the body of the rifle. By the time the Japanese nolonger possessed ammunition – the bayonet charge was well practiced and expected. Surrendering was not allowed and so those taken Prisoner often lied about their names – killing themselves at the first opportunity. Many that returned to Japan often killed themselves at their family shrines.

Very Japanese Surrendered – With Many Killed By the US Army If They Did!

Finally, the Okinawan people fought the US Invaders in huge human waves of men, women, and children – often fighting with traditional weapons or their bare hands when no other weaponry was available. When these attacks failed – to prevent rape – Okinawan women and girls threw themselves off of cliffs – together with their young siblings and children. US Servicemen raped Okinawan civilians wherever they were found alive – whilst unarmed Okinawan civilians were shot on sight even in areas where all Imperial Japanese Army Units nolonger existed. This is why so many Okinawan civilians were killed – many even after capture or before they could attack again – according to the Americans. The Okinawans were NOT the passive victims trapped between two battling sides. The Okinawan civilians fought hard against the Americans – attempting to protect their ancestral lands and their ancestral shrines. This is a fascinating and highly important book that tells the story from the other side. The US Army possessed virtually no one who could speak Japanese – as all Japanese-Americans had been placed in Concentration Camps in remote areas of the US.
