We have visited Down House in Kent a number of times – as a scientific stimulation for the developing brains of our children. This is the former home of Charles Darwin – now administer by English Heritage. Like everything in our society today, nothing is ‘free’ to enter – despite our tax-burden never being so high! Sending money and arms to Neo-Nazi Ukraine and genocide-committing Israel is destroying our nation from within! The important thing for British culture is to focus the mind on something relatively ‘concrete’. ‘steady’ or ‘permanent’ – like playing cricket or chess!
Of course, it could also be like participating in a Boxing Match. When things get tough we must develop grace under pressure. A large sign said ‘NO Photography’ – but I politely enquired as to whether I could snap a ‘small’ picture – and was given a cryptic permission.
