The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine welcomed the South African Parliament’s approval, yesterday, (Tuesday) – by majority vote – to suspend Diplomatic Relations with the Zionist Occupation and close this entity’s Embassy in the capital – Pretoria – calling on the government of President Cyril Ramaphosa to “Ratify” this important decision.
The PFLP stressed that the advanced and responsible positions expressed by South African Officials, whether the Party in power represented by the African National Party, or the Opposition Party represented by the Economic Freedom Fighters Party, – as well as the vast majority of the people of South Africa – must be strengthened by severing ties with completely with the Zionist Occupation, and by prohibiting any Zionist presence within the lands of South Africa. All countries of the world must be on the path to delegitimizing this criminal, racist, colonial entity.
The PFLP expressed its hope that the decisions of the virtual extraordinary BRICS Summit, which was held at the initiative and Presidency of South Africa, will put serious pressure on the Zionist entity. In order to stop the aggression, completely break the siege on the Gaza Strip, and force the Zionist entry to allow aid into the area, the BRICS members adopted South Africa’s move to go to the International Criminal Court to try the Zionist Occupation leaders for the War Crimes, genocide and the massacres they are continuing to commit in the Gaza Strip, and to stop the export of weapons and ammunition to this criminal Zionist entity – whilst boycotting it completely.
The PFLP concluded its statement by calling on Arab and International Parliaments to take similar decisions to boycott this criminal Zionist entity and all its partners and allies, and to adopt decisions in support of the Palestinian Cause and the Palestinian people who yearn for freedom, independence, and self-determination like all other peoples of the world.

رحبت الجبهة الشعبية لتحرير فلسطين، بموافقة برلمان جنوب أفريقيا، أمس الثلاثاء بأغلبية الأصوات، على تعليق العلاقات الدبلوماسية مع الاحتلال وإغلاق سفارة الكيان في العاصمة بريتوريا، داعيةً حكومة الرئيس سيريل رامابوزا إلى المصادقة على هذا القرار المهم.
وأكدت الجبهة أن المواقف المتقدمة والمسؤولة التي عَبّر عنها المسؤولون في جنوب أفريقيا سواء كان حزب السلطة الذي يمثله الحزب الوطني الأفريقي، أو حزب المعارضة الذي يمثله ” حزب مقاتلون من أجل الحرية الاقتصادية. كما السواد الأعظم من شعب جنوب أفريقيا، يجب أن يجري تعزيزه بقطع العلاقات بالكامل مع الاحتلال، وتحريم الوجود الصهيوني على أراضي جنوب أفريقيا، وكل بلدان العالم على طريق نزع الشرعية عن هذا الكيان الاستعماري العنصري المجرم.
وأعربت الجبهة عن أملها أن تُشكّل قرارات قمة بريكس الاستثنائية الافتراضية، التي انعقدت بمبادرة ورئاسة جنوب أفريقيا، ضغطاً جدياً على الكيان الصهيوني، من أجل وقف العدوان، وكسر الحصار بالكامل على القطاع، وفرض إدخال المساعدات إليه، وتبني أعضاء بريكس خطوة جنوب أفريقيا بالتوجه إلى محكمة الجنايات الدولية لمحاكمة قادة الاحتلال على حرب الإبادة والمجازر التي يرتكبونها حتى الآن في القطاع، ووقف تصدير الأسلحة والذخائر إلى هذا الكيان المجرم ومقاطعته بشكلٍ كامل.
وختمت الجبهة بيانها، بدعوة البرلمانات العربية والدولية إلى اتخاذ قرارات مماثلة في مقاطعة هذا الكيان الصهيوني المجرم وكل شركائه وحلفائه، وتبني قرارات داعمة للقضية الفلسطينية وللشعب الفلسطيني التواق للحرية والاستقلال وتقرير مصيره أسوة بشعوب العالم.
