Today, Wednesday, the Committee of Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine in Lebanon – condemned the actions of the Greek Authorities regarding the arrest of the freed Palestinian prisoner (and heroine Freedom Fighter) – Suha Bishara – at Athens airport on her way to Switzerland! The committee indicated in a statement that “The fighter Bishara holds Swiss nationality, and when she exited the aeroplane – security men came and took her to the Detention Centre – informing her that she was prohibited from entering Greece for security reasons. Suha Bishara is classified as a source of danger to National Security and the security of the European Union (EU). “The Committee called on the Greek Authorities to ‘Reverse this unjust decision and allow her freedom of travel and movement and to complete her journey’ – as Suha Bishara is a citizen of the European Union and holds Swiss citizenship.”
The Committee also called on the “International Community and Human Rights Organizations to protect liberated prisoners and provide each with all facilities, freedom of travel and freedom of movement, and not harass them, especially since this arrest is contrary to the United Nations law protecting those resisting the Zionist Occupation.” At the end of its Statement, the Committee held “The Zionist Occupation and its agents will be held responsible for the lives and well-being of freed Palestinians prisoners!” and called on the International Community to “Move immediately to put an end to the Zionist entity!”

لجنة الأسرى والمحررين للشعبية تدين توقيف المناضلة سهى بشارة

أدانت لجنة الأسرى والمحررين للجبهة الشعبية لتحرير فلسطين في لبنان، اليوم الأربعاء، إقدام السلطات اليونانيّة على توقيف الأسيرة المحرّرة المناضلة البطلة سهى بشارة في مطار أثينا وهي في طريقها إلى سويسرا.
وأشارت اللجنة في بيانٍ لها، إلى أنّ “المناضلة بشارة تحمل الجنسية السويسرية، وعند نزولها من الطائرة حضر رجال الأمن وتم اقتيادها إلى مركز الحجز وإبلاغها أنها ممنوعة من دخول اليونان لأسبابٍ أمنية كونها مصنّفة كمصدر خطر على الأمن الوطني وعلى أمن الاتحاد الأوروبي”.
وطالبت اللجنة “السلطات اليونانية بالرجوع عن هذا القرار الجائر والسماح لها بحرية السفر والتنقّل وإكمال رحلتها كونها من مواطني الاتحاد الاوروبي وتحمل الجنسية السويسرية”.
كما طالبت اللجنة “المجتمع الدولي ومنظمات حقوق الانسان بحماية الأسرى المحررين وتقديم كل التسهيلات لهم وحرية الحركة والتنقل وعدم التعرّض لهم، لا سيما وأنّ هذا التوقيف مخالف لقانون الأمم المتحدة لحماية المقاومين للاحتلال”.
وفي ختام بيانها، حمّلت اللجنة “الاحتلال الصهيوني وعملائه المسؤوليّة عن حياة الأسرى المحررين”، مطالبةً المجتمع الدولي “بالتحرك فورًا لوضع حدٍ للكيان الصهيوني”.
