The Head Office of the Communist Party of Britain (CPB) issued a call to action this week, for all progressive forces to converge upon Trafalgar Square at 11am this morning, and prepare to engage in an anti-fascist engagement in oppositoon to the highly unpopular State Visit of the politically far-right President of the United States – Donald Trump. The British Working Class will not stand for the British Bourgeoise Establishment’s attempt to ‘normalise’ fascism within the UK, and we will join our ancestors and fight the ogre of fascism until our dying breath! As proud Members of the Croydon Branch of the CPB, we also Represented our own Sutton Communists – ML (Southwest) London Collective (aligned with the CPB), the Buddhist-Marxist Alliance (UK) linked to Oxford University, and the Communist Party International Bolshevik (UK) – the last in that list being an initiative of Communist-inclined Russians living in the UK and other parts of Europe. We travelled back from visiting my parents in Torquay late last night, with Mei-An getting-up and going to school early this morning. This is why our dear Comrade was not physically with us today. Furthermore, without having any sleep today, Gee will work a 12 hour nightshift in the NHS tonight. These are minor (personal) sacrifices in the ongoing anti-fascist fight perpetuated by Working Classes! We must prevail! We found the CPB stalwart contingent situated infront of the main fountain in the centre of Trafalgar Square holding aloft their magnficant magnificant anti-US imperialism and anti-Trump placards, banners and Red Party Flags! As we do not possess our own CPB Party Red Flag, we have a tradition of flying the an older version of Red Flag as used in the USSR – although on occasion we sometimes fly the Red Flag of Communist China (we are Members of the Communist Party of China), Cuba, Vietnam, North Korea or Laos, etc. One disturbing element that we must mention is the well financed and organised attempt by the anti-Brexit Movement to ‘hijack’ this Working Class protest and falsely associate the British Working Class’s rejection of fascism with a pseudo-acceptance of the EU! These protestors (many of them not from the UK) attempted to appear to ‘reject’ Trump whilst ‘accepting’ the EU – apparently unaware that both entities share a common historical root deep within the traditions of post-1945 US neo-imperialism and anti-Socialism in Europe! As a harbinger of US-style predatory capitalism (which supports the various neo-Nazi regimes throughout Eastern Europe), there is no place on a British anti-fascist march for the EU or its misled or deluded supporters! We must win against fascism and save the lives of those millions suffering persecution, torture, racism, discrimination, oppression, starvation, homelessness, medical neglect and barbarism of every kind! On this day we call for justice for Charlotte Wyles and justice for George Galloway – both currently suffering tyranny at the hands of the British State! Interestingly, there was not one ‘Israeli’ State Flag amongst the tens of thousands of protestors on the streets of London today, this in itself speaks volumes! Long Live Donbass! Long Live Palestine!
