Dear Comrade,
The Communist University in South London will hold its next class on 16 May, our usual third Thursday of the month, at our usual time and place, 7.30 pm in the Party Office, Ruskin House, 23 Coombe Road, Croydon CR0 1BD. Having completed our work on the global warming discussion paper, on Thursday we will be studying fascism, both historically and the renewed rise of populist movements.
A historical review of fascism could not ignore Georgi Dimitrov’s report to the seventh (and final) Congress of the Communist International in Moscow in 1935 on The Fascist Offensive and the tasks of the Communist International in the Fight for the Unity of the Working Class against Fascism. The best transcription of this report is the one published in 2007 by the Party and still available from the Party Office at £2.50 including postage, but there is a workable free version on the Marxist Internet Archive, link below. If you have an opportunity to look at this before the meeting, it would be helpful but not essential.
