Communist Party of Lugansk – Russian Language

On November 7th (2018), a traditional Communist Rally was held on Theatre Square in Lugansk, dedicated to the respectful memory of the 101st anniversary of the Great October Socialist Revolution. The organiser of this event was the Union of Communists of the Luhansk Region. The participants laid flowers at the monument dedicated to V.I. Lenin.
Before the meeting, the First Secretary of the Communist Party of the LNR – Igor Gumenyuk spoke – who read a congratulatory telegram from the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation and a personal message from the Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation – Kazbek Taisayev.
Igor Gumenyuk in particular said:
“Our event is held on the eve of elections in the LNR. Unfortunately, in our society there are some skeptics and critics of this constitutional procedure. I want to say that these Comrades are not soberly assessing the complexity of geopolitical processes. It was our choice on May 11th, 2014 (when we chose Socialist ‘freedom’ from neo-Nazism) – and we must protect this choice on November 11th, 2018. The Communists call on all residents of the Republic to postpone work, come to the polls and demonstrate the consciousness and unity of the whole people! We, the residents of Donbass, now, as in the difficult year of 2014, must retain a United Front and defend our conquests!”
At the rally, a veteran of the Party, the former First Secretary of the Lugansk Regional Committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine – Vladimir Zemlyakov – the First Secretary of the Komsomol of the LNR – Gleb Grinko – a representative of the town of Bryanka, Valentina Buzanova and others spoke. It should be noted the speech of the Deputy of the People’s Council of the LNR – Alexander Andriyanov, – recalled the criticism to which the Western propaganda has subjected our upcoming elections in the Donbass. He also expressed the position that Leonid Pasechnik is the only candidate for all the people of the Republic. Andrianov’s words were greeted with applause. Before the participants of the meeting spoke, the soloist – Alexander Vorobiev – sang songs. Andrei Kalashnik, Denis Zheleznyak and trainer Nikolai Oparin were awarded medals for loyalty to the Fatherland from the legendary Soviet Aviation General – Gennady Benov – and the Russian Union of Soviet Officers, for active military-patriotic education of young people.
The rally ended with a solemn performance of the Internationale.
