✨ Ronald is just 7 years old and today he hears life thanks to a cochlear implant.
On February 25th, International Cochlear Implant Day, he came to his appointment at the National Cochlear Implant Programme in Cuba to receive a technology upgrade.
His mother, Idalma Lobaina, is grateful for every step of this journey: from initial silence to the joy of communicating, learning, and fully enjoying life. For her, this programme is not just medicine, it’s hope and a future.
👂 More than 600 people in Cuba — including children, bilateral patients, and the deaf-blind — have regained their hearing thanks to this unique, free, and deeply humane project.

Este 25 de febrero, Día Internacional del Implante Coclear, llegó a su consulta en el Programa Nacional de Implantes Cocleares de Cuba para recibir un cambio de tecnología.
Su mamá, Idalma Lobaina, agradece cada paso de este camino: del silencio inicial a la alegría de comunicarse, aprender y disfrutar plenamente. Para ella, este programa no es solo medicina, es esperanza y futuro.
👂 Más de 600 personas en Cuba —incluidos niños, pacientes bilaterales y sordociegos— han recuperado la audición gracias a este proyecto único en el mundo, gratuito y profundamente humano.
