Seven men arrested for raping daughters and posting about it in chat group

Police in Japan have arrested seven men for allegedly raping their minor daughters and sharing video of the abuse on chat rooms.
The men from Aichi Prefecture, aged between 30 and 50 years, have been accused of sexual assault as well as violations of laws pertaining to sexual exploitation of children, the Mainichi Shimbun reported.
Four of the men are accused of raping their biological or foster daughters and sharing the abuse videos on a social media group. Three other men, who were part of the same chat group, were arrested for allegedly owning obscene images of child abuse. The survivors were between the ages of six and 14.
The accused allegedly shared details of their abuse on the chat and how they “trained” the children since they were as young as three years old. The Aichi police believe the accused regularly sexually abused their daughters and other children.
The chat room was discovered after one of the men was arrested in November 2024 for raping a minor. A subsequent probe of the man’s phone revealed the group where photos of child abuse were shared.
The men met each other through an online website and began sharing information, photos and videos around December 2023, according to the Japanese daily. The police are on a lookout for other possible past members of the group.
Japan police in 2023 alerted child welfare centres of a record-high 122,806 suspected abuse victims amid growing concern about the rise in abuse of minors. A cabinet survey revealed that one in 14 women in Japan had experienced forced intercourse, according to reports.

Aichi Prefectural Police arrested seven men in their 30s to 50s, including a father, on suspicion of violating the Child Prostitution and Pornography Prohibition Act and non-consensual sexual intercourse by the 12th for filming themselves sexually assaulting their underage biological and adopted daughters and sharing the videos on social media groups. This was learned from interviews with investigators.
A detailed investigation of the exchanges within the group revealed that more than 100 sexual videos and images believed to be of minors had been shared. Prefectural police believe that sexual assault and video sharing were commonplace and will continue to investigate the situation.
According to investigators, the men were arrested between November last year and March this year on suspicion of sexually assaulting their own children and adopted daughter, who were between the ages of 6 and 14 at the time, and sharing the videos.
The group was launched in December 2023. Men who liked to have sex with minor relatives gathered, and could join if the administrator gave permission. More than 10 people joined the group and filmed and shared footage of actual sexual assaults. It is believed that the purpose was for members to watch each other.
Chats within the group also revealed exchanges such as, “I’ve been training her since she was 3 years old,” and “If I tell my mom I won’t be able to be with my dad anymore, but I asked her if we could keep it a secret, and she said it was okay.”
The existence of the group was revealed when one of its members was arrested in November last year and an analysis of the smartphone that was seized from him was conducted. (Kyodo News)

未成年の実の娘や養女に性的暴行を加える様子を撮影し、SNSのグループで動画を共有したなどとして、愛知県警は12日までに、父親ら30〜50代の男7人を児童買春・ポルノ禁止法違反や不同意性交の疑いで逮捕した。捜査関係者への取材で分かった。
グループ内でのやりとりを精査した結果、未成年のものとみられる性的な動画や画像が計100点以上共有されていたことも判明。県警は性的暴行や動画共有が常習的に行われていたとみて実態解明を進める。
捜査関係者によると、男らは当時6〜14歳の自身の子どもや養女に性的暴行を加え、動画を共有したなどの疑いがあり、昨年11月〜今年3月に逮捕された。
グループは2023年12月に立ち上げられた。未成年の近親者との性行為を好む男らが集まり、管理者が許可すれば入ることができた。10人以上がグループに加入し、実際に性的暴行を加える様子などを撮影、共有していたという。メンバー間での観賞が目的だったとみられる。
グループ内のチャットでは「3歳から仕込んでいる」「ママに言ったらパパといられなくなるけど秘密にできる？と言ったら大丈夫だった」といったやりとりも確認されたという。
昨年11月にメンバーの1人を逮捕し、押収したスマートフォンの解析から、グループの存在が明らかになった。〔共同〕
