Pyongyang Citizens Fervently Welcome Young Footballers
Pyongyang, September 29 (KCNA) — DPRK women footballers took the first place at the 2024 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup held in Colombia. They won the trophy again as it did in 2006 and 2016, emerging as the world’s strongest team.
They returned home on Saturday.
Vice-Premier of the DPRK Kim Myong Hun, Minister of Physical Culture and Sports Kim Il Guk, Minister of External Economic Relations Yun Jong Ho who is chairman of the DPRK Football Association, officials concerned, and the families of players were standing at the apron of the airport terminal to greet them.
When a plane carrying our women footballers entered the apron, crowds broke into cheers of “Welcome” and “Congratulation”.
Sportspersons and working people presented bouquets to the players and coaches who got off the plane with gold medals, and congratulated them, putting garlands around their necks.
Parents embraced their daughters with great pride and joy.
Women footballers left Pyongyang International Airport on an open vehicle decorated with flowers.
The streets of Pyongyang were filled with the fervent atmosphere of welcoming the young footballers who excited the women’s football world again.
They extended thanks to the cheering citizens, reminding themselves of the time when they played games, warmly encouraged by all the people across the country. (End)

국제축구련맹 2024년 20살미만 녀자월드컵경기대회에서 우승한 우리 나라 녀자축구선수들 귀국,평양시민들 열렬히 환영

국제축구련맹 2024년 20살미만 녀자월드컵경기대회에서 맞다드는 강팀들을 모두 보기좋게 누르고 영예의 1위를 쟁취함으로써 2006년과 2016년에 이어 세번째로 되는 우승컵을 들어올린 우리 녀자축구선수들은 세계최강팀으로 부상하였다.
꼴롬비아에서 진행된 이번 경기대회에서 우승한 우리 나라 녀자축구선수들이 28일 평양으로 돌아왔다.
조선민주주의인민공화국 내각부총리 김명훈동지,체육상 김일국동지,조선민주주의인민공화국 축구협회 위원장인 대외경제상 윤정호동지,관계부문 일군들이 선수들의 가족들과 함께 비행장의 항공역앞 정류장에 나와있었다.
우리 녀자축구선수들을 태운 비행기가 정류장에 들어서자 군중속에서 《환영》,《축하》 등의 함성이 터져나왔다.
금메달을 번쩍이며 비행기에서 내린 선수들과 감독들에게 체육인들과 근로자들이 꽃다발을 안겨주고 꽃목걸이를 걸어주며 축하하였다.
자랑스러운 딸자식들을 품에 안은 부모들의 긍지와 기쁨이 감동깊은 화폭으로 펼쳐졌다.
녀자축구선수들은 꽃들로 단장된 무개차를 타고 평양국제비행장을 출발하였다.
세계녀자축구계를 또다시 뒤흔든 새세대 축구강자들을 환영하는 감격의 열파가 수도의 거리마다에 차넘쳤다.
경기대회 전기간 힘과 고무를 보내며 승리에로 떠밀어준 온 나라 인민들의 뜨거운 마음들을 안아보면서 녀자축구선수들은 시민들의 열렬한 환호에 감사의 인사를 보내였다.(끝)
