The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine welcomed the decision of the International Court of Justice in The Hague today regarding the urgent measures required to stop the war of annihilation against the Palestinian people, expressing its hope that these decisions will be a) implemented, and b) the Zionist entity will comply. Mechanisms of legal accountability must be initiated against the Zionists – as Israel represents and maintains a brutal Occupation which uses all forms of (Neo-Nazi) massacres, killing, siege, displacement and extermination – methods of oppressions which continue despite the fact that the power to implement a permanent Ceasefire Resolution rests with the UN Security Council.
The PFLP further clarified: “Regardless of the fact that the International Court of Justice today did not issue a direct decision to stop the aggression against the Gaza Strip (and the fact that the PFLP firmly REJECTS the ICJ decision regarding the demonising of the October 7th [Hamas] Self-Defence Operation) – what was stated in the body of the ICJ decision (as a response to South Africa’s call) is a historic decision!
This is a victory for justice and the Palestinian cause – especially since there is almost unanimity among the Court’s Judges to move forward with the case brought by South Africa. ”The PFLP expressed its pride in the Republic of South Africa for its great efforts in supporting the just struggle of the Palestinian people, calling for more solidarity and escalation of activities to support the Palestinian people and boycott the Occupation! There must be a continuation of the global uprising of anger against the Zionist forces of aggression which is applying a war of genocide – stressing that all forces that believe in justice and humanity must strengthen their struggle against this Zionist brutality! The Zionist Occupation is exterminating the Palestinian people – supported by the imperialist powers that have violated the land of the Palestinians.”
The PFLP concluded its statement by stressing that the struggle is long, which requires the prosecution of the leaders of the Occupation (and its partners in America, Britain and other places) for the heinous crimes they have all committed! This legal case submitted by South Africa constitutes a step on the path to achieving this goal – although the main battle today is still confronting the Palestinian people. The Zionists are still perpetuating genocide, massacres, injustice, and brutality against the Palestinian people who require the immediate support of all Arab nations, and the free people of the world. This will counter the complicity (and inaction) of the international system, and its blatant bias towards the Zionist Occupation.

الجبهة الشعبية تُرحب بقرار محكمة العدل الدولية بقبول الدعوة المقدمة من جنوب أفريقيا
رحبت الجبهة الشعبية لتحرير فلسطين بقرار محكمة العدل الدولية في لاهاي بشأن ما طرحته اليوم بشأن التدابير العاجلة المطلوبة لوقف حرب إبادة شعبنا، معربة عن أملها بضرورة إعمال هذه القرارات، وفرض تنفيذها على الكيان الصهيوني، والبدء بآليات المحاسبة القانونية لهذا الاحتلال، باعتباره قوة احتلال غاشمة يُمارس كل أشكال المجازر والقتل والحصار والتهجير والإبادة، على الرغم من أن صلاحيات تنفيذ قرار وقف إطلاق النار يقع على عاتق مجلس الأمن الدولي.
وقالت الجبهة: ” بغض النظر عن أن محكمة العدل الدولية اليوم لم تصدر قراراً مباشراً بوقف العدوان على قطاع غزة، ورفضنا لما جاء في القرار بشأن عملية السابع من أكتوبر المشروعة ضد الاحتلال الغاشم، إلا أن ما جاء في نص قراراتها اليوم بخصوص الاستجابة لدعوة جنوب أفريقيا هو قرار تاريخي، وانتصار للعدالة والقضية الفلسطينية، خاصة وأن هناك شبه إجماع من قضاة المحكمة على المضي قدماً في النظر بالدعوة المقدمة من جنوب إفريقيا”.
وعًبّرت الجبهة عن اعتزازها وافتخارها بجمهورية جنوب إفريقيا على جهودها الكبيرة في دعم نضال الشعب الفلسطيني العادل، داعيةً إلى مزيد من التضامن وتصعيد نشاطات إسناد شعبنا ومقاطعة الاحتلال، عبر استمرار انتفاضة الغضب العالمية ضد قوى العدوان الداعمة لحرب الابادة، مؤكدة أن كل القوى المؤمنة بالعدالة والإنسانية يجب أن تصعد نضالها ضد منظومة الوحشية التي تبيد شعبنا من القوى الإمبريالية التي استباحت أرضنا الفلسطينية المحتلة
وختمت الجبهة بيانها مؤكدةً أن النضال طويل، من أجل محاكمة قادة الاحتلال وشركائه في أمريكا وبريطانيا وغيرهم على جرائمهم البشعة بحق الشعب الفلسطيني، معتبرة أن هذه الدعوة المقدمة من جنوب إفريقيا تُشكّل خطوة على طريق تحقيق هذا الهدف، على الرغم من أن الرهان الأساسي اليوم في مواجهة الابادة والمذابح والظلم والوحشية يجب أن ينصب على شعبنا أولاً وأمتنا العربية واحرار العالم في ظل تواطؤ وتقاعس المنظومة الدولية، وانحيازهم الفاضح
