Gifts from the Communist Party of Russia pleased the children of the village of Lower Teplichnoye (33 gifts), where for 3 years there has been almost no transport connection with Lugansk. 50 gifts were received by students of a boarding school for deaf children. 145 gifts from the Communists were received by the children of the parishioners of the Holy Ascension Church, the Temple in honour of the Peschany Icon of the Mother of God and the Parish in honour of Prince Alexander Nevsky. 340 gifts were given to children from the neediest large families situated throughout all city committees and district committees, a distribution coordinated by the Communist Party of the People’s Republic of Lugansk.
Vladimir Degtyarenko, Chairman of the Parliament of the LNR, conveyed his heartfelt thanks for the constant concern for the people of the Republic to the leader of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation – Gennady Zyuganov, Deputy Chairman of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation – Vladimir Kashin and First Deputy Chairman of the Central Committee of the Union of Communist Parties – Communist Party of the Soviet Union – Kazbek Taisayev.
On the Xmas holiday – at the Holy Ascension Church of the city of Alexandrovsk – there gathered about 150 children and parents. The Mayor of Aleksandrovsk – Vasily Lobov – and the First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the People’s Republic of Lugansk – Igor Gumenyuk – spoke at the gathering and highlighted the caring attitude of Vladimir Kashin, on whose personal initiative the third-year children of Novorossia traditionally receive gifts.
Marina Dorda – Head Physician of the Children’s People’s Republican Tuberculosis Dispensary, and Tamara Rylova – Chairperson of the Trade Union Committee of the Infectious Disease Ward of the People’s Republican Children’s Hospital – expressed warm greetings and thanks for the help received in organizing care and festive activities in the name of the young people of Lugansk – to the First Secretary of the Leningrad Regional Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation – Regine Illarionova.
In addition to the vital task of helping the children, adults also received New Year’s greetings. The last humanitarian convoy of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation delivered not only sweets and milk to Lugansk, but also food for the low-income population – in total more than 5 tons. Products included cereals, pasta and canned meat from Mari-El. As well as targeted assistance to the Cadet Corps of the City of Krasny Luch and the Boarding School of the city of Stakhanov.
(UPDATE): On January 10, 2017, the Plenum of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the National Defense of Russia decided to distribute humanitarian food aid in the following way: city committees and district committees – 50% for giving rations to the poorest people, veterans and seriously ill people; 50% – for issuing to legal entities, primarily organizations of persons with Disabilities and Orthodox Parishes – organizing free public catering.
